Very friendly pub with good beer (London Pride) and food, as it is really more of a restaurant than a pub. Well worth a visit particularly if you are hungry.

My girlfriend and me stopped here intending just to have a drink but stayed for dinner. It definately feels more of a restaraunt than a pub and the menu is very typically brit-pub! The food was good though and the staff quick and efficient. I cant say I'd go out of my way to return but it was a decent enough place to refuel.

Yes its difficult to find keep going right to the end of the road. Also it appears to be in a rough area and looks a bit iffy from the outside we nearly didnt go in but once inside it was fine. We were made welcome only ones in at about 5pm but it soon filled up.
Yes its more for eating although the beer was excellent albeit a very limited choice.
Food nice but expensive (by Northern standards anyway).
Not really worth a special journey, we called for tea on the way to the Chunnel.

We stopped at the Riverside - it is a little hard to find but worth the journey. A little difficult to get in - they could make the doorways more welcoming. I would say though that the staff were fantastic and very welcoming. We all had a roast dinner and it was superb and well priced. If I was down in that area again I would not hesitate to visit. Well done guys - you are giving a great service

Went to this place for the first time recently. Sorry, but with tables laid out in about 3/4 of the place for diners and not much space for drinkers : like about 2 seats, this place is barely qualifying as a pub. Real ale was ok (but unimaginative ie hobgoblin), prefer the locomotive up the road it is a proper pub

Went to the Riverside for my birthday meal along with twelve friends and family at the weekend. The food was outstanding, everyone in the party I went with agreed how good the food was, not even a minor grumble. The staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble (despite having six bills to contend with in a party of thirteen!). Would thoroughly recommend this place now, the new owners seemed to have really made an effort. 10/10.

What a difference a year makes - what was once the #1 pub in Ashford is now little more than a youth club where the volume of Sky Sports is increasingly raised to drown out the racket of the juke box.
I went in planning to have an evening meal there - I couldn't get out quick enough to avoid a headache. Last year this place warranted 8/10. Today - 4/10 could do better.

This place seems to be getting busier each time I visit, which must be a good sign.

Much overlooked back street pub.
It's very handy for the designer outlet centre in Ashford, and whilst the food might take a little while to arrive, it's worth the wait.
