Now being converted into a Tesco. Another pub lost.

Currently closed, despite its prime spot on the A10 close to Seven Sisters tube. Hopefully someone will take up the challenge soon (and change the name back to The Mitre)

AAAARRRRRGGHHH!! IM IN THE GOLDEN STOOL...................AGAIN! this is what goes through my head whenever i find myself in the golden stool. It's allways the same! I'm drinking up town with mates, I stagger on to a night bus and fall asleep, the next thing i know i'm in the golden stool. This pub is weird they sell beer in cans. Despite being the only white person in there the other punters were friendly enough. the barman did look at me as if i was insane though. The music was hard and heavy dance with an african MC. quite an interesting experience. Once i realise where i am i finish up my can of redstripe and make for the exit.
i have a feeling that this puib is now closed

Was ok as the 'Mitre' now strictly blacks only, have to walk through the pool bar to the loo which is an unpleasant experience as you are racially abused and threatened. Avoid (unless you are black)

I visited this pub with a group of friends from various cultures and the experience was truly an african one. The music was great, the food was delicious and the drinks were reasonable for London prices.

this pub should not be in your guild. I visited it with my wife, we were very badly treated the bar man was very aggresive and made it plain that white people were not welcome in this pub at which point i look around and realised we were the only white people in there so we quickily made our exit to the glare of the bar man and the other cutomers. I would advise you to advise your readers to stear well clear of this pub.

Dark, dingy, not overly friendly, not overly nice.

A bit strange, but worth a visit this one. Very dark inside, seperate function room which can be hired out. Locals may appear unwelcoming at first but soon get friendlier as the ale flows.

It is a pub/restaurant with a distinctly afro-carribean feel. Slightly dingy in atmosphere, you can frolic with locals in the dark! Pool tables, and the odd 'stool' to rest your weary behind, come down and visit.
