yes granted the place can be packed at times but you try working a busy bar like that ray &luke do really well considering all that goes down just be patient you will get served and they do their best to get to you and the rest of the bar staff are great if you need a late drink in the bottom of sutton this is where you need to be but be nice to staff and dont forget to bring id if your under 21

this pubs ok & at least you no your in a pub & not just a bar area
as much as i like the grapes this place has more of an atmoshere although at times it can be rather loud but overall it is ok & does excellent food.

This has another new management team. nWent in for the first time in about 15months on the evening of 17th April and have to say it seemed to have improved a bit. At least the staff were more friendly than the old ones they had and there was real ale on the hand pumps. Live band was in full swing and made a change from the rubbish that had been there. Seems that the new maager is trying to get live music back on a regular basis (he's got rid of the rubbish Karaoke bloke that was there) and he is getting rid of all the dross that was coming in causing trouble and dealing. Have to see what happens, but based on last Saturday it may well be on the up again. Hope so as it used to be a great little place and I drank in there regularly until a couple of years ago when it hit rock bottom.

Visited at lunchtime today. Five handpumps, no real ale. Didn't stay.

I was in the The Prince Regent (Sutton High Street) with my Friends;
Where we heard about the Great service and Live Band on every Thursdays at this Pub which we really enjoyed :-)
and got to meet alot of people ; -)
and I say it was packed. Drinks were very reasonaly priced; especially the Wine bottles for only �5 (GREAT!!! - drinks were on me)
Another enjoyable thing was the Sky Sports channel - which I never missed my Football.
They are also open until 2am every Thurs - Fridays - Saturdays; So why not come down ; maybe we'll bump into each other as I have made this my regular hangout as this is the only place in Sutton with a ***Beer Garden*** :-)

Yeah it got taken over and "refitted" around Jan/Feb 08. Mind you all that turned out to be was a lick of paint. Heard that it all kicked off on the opening night. Some nutjob apparently decided to direct all of balls from the Pool Table at the bar staff and the manageress apparently got a glass in her face. Shame really as although the old manager (Gary) may have had his funny ways, he did kick out all of the nutters and ran a very good ship....Let's not forget that before that it was the Cricketers, notorious for being on an ITV documentary called "The Murder Squad"....Gone to pot now though..I'd stay well clear if I were you !!!

This use to be such a good pub the manageress was just brillant kept that pub busy .... shame about the manager(husband) which was gay at most times but never use to crack a smile... When the wife left the pub just when down hill from there. The staff was running the place and badly at it 2 .. pub is now been taken over by new manager lets hope he gets the pub back to its old self ...
