Didn't go on this visit to York as now it doesn't open on Mondays or Tuesday. Seems to have changed it's name to VAHE bar (or something). Would have been put off by the posters in the window advertising frozen vodka anyway

A great place to sit at the bar, if there's room. Interesting and friendly owner/staff good selection of beers and spirits and a real coffee machine if you are in the mood.

The service at this bar makes it not worth entering. Koko's was a very big dissapointment. We had poor service. The man serving us was mean and rude to my friends. He basically told them to leave cause they where american. International Bar? I don't think so. I would never suggest this bar to anyone.

Good continental bar - Paulaner, Roosters and various pilsners on tap. Recommend the champagne cocktails / rive gauches tho!

Lovely tucked away international beer boozer right around the corner from the Minster. Although it doesn't look it, the place is actually 3 stories high and is a very olde building so watch your head! Very nice foreign beer selection, mostly Belgian, but also had 3 German lager selections on draft. Also had 2 real ale choices: Rooster Yankee and a Daleside Morroco Ale- which were both spot on. I'll be back!

International range of beers, cocktails, wines and spirits, eight draught continental beers, including Kasteel at 11% ABV, plus two beer engines for British beer, well kept Thwaites Nutty Slack and Roosters on my visit. Nice atmosphere, friendly knowledgable owner and a mixed clientele. Apart from the minor grouch of the outside gents an excellent bar.

What a cracker of a little bar. Its a gem that is slowly but surely getting well deserved custom from people that want a friendly place with superb beer. You can look at over the Minster and enjoy any one of over 9 draught beers or 80 bottled ones. No bimbo's (or himbo's) here to claim ignorance of knowledge about what they sell either - you get a guy who knows a lot about his stock and share's this with you if you ask.

Formerly the site of the BeerRitz beer shot at the bottom of Goodramgate. Unbelieveable selection of Belgian and German beers (including the mighty Hacker-Pschorr) and a laid-back, attitude free atmosphere.

The owner/landlord is a really nice guy who knows his beer (he might have been the owner of BeerRitz, but can't confirm/deny this)

Good range of beers on tap, plus an amazing range of bottled beer and a totally mind-blowing array of single-malt whiskys (many cask-strength, too!)

Good views of York Minster, assuming the weather is good, and top-notch beer and service make this one a winner.
