Has closed some time back now and is soon to be demolished. There is still the golf course though.

Why is this listed twice?

I liked the place. Staff were attentive and there was nothing wrong with the food. Carvery before Xmas was excellent. I rather fancy it as a summer pub because of the large outdoor area and place for the kids to play. Family friendly and the Beer on Tap was cold. I'll be back there for sure.

Went here with a party of 12 for the Sunday Roast set menu on Sunday 27th January. The soup for the starters were cold, we waited 12 minutes for a chef to turn up at the carvery and serve our meal. The roast beef was rare but the chef did offer to heat up in the microwave! We chase the 2 vegetarian options whilst we were eating our roast dinners and they never arrived. I went up to the bar area to complain and moments later the chef came up and swore at the waiting using the F word twice in front of our 3 children and the whole bar/restaurant area. Apparently he was mad as no-one had told him about the vegetarian options. We promptly left and as compensation they gave us 3 meals free, 2 of which we did not have and a free bottle of wine which we did not have time to drink and left on the table.. If you are thinking of going there don't bother, it was an expensive option for us as we had to pay to go somewhere else and it ruined our day.
