Visited this pub Friday evening prior to a weekend reenactment at nearby Hambledon Hill. Very friendly welcoming pub. Food looked good. Beer in great condition. An excellent pub!

Fantastic pub with a lovely landlord and landlady who made us all feel very welcome. We had great food, cider and two nights to remember. We will all be returning in the future.

Spent 2 nights in the village of Child Okeford and planned to visit the pub on the first night only, however after having such a good time we returned the following night and plan to return again! Friendly landlord, landlady, and locals provided us with a great atmosphere, cider and food along with a couple of nights to remember!!

Although I'm not too keen on widescreen TV, darts, etc. I found this pub to be a very friendly with a good atmosphere serving good beer (Doom Bar and 6X) and food at most reasonable prices. Good to see a proper local with regulars greeting each.

My local, excellent place for a drink. Free house so on the cheaper side which means lots more beer! Ales and ciders are excellent.

Just to add to the gents urinals, it goes with the saying "Spend a penny".

Food is also good. It's good old pub food. I recommend the cheesy chips or a cheese and bacon torpedo roll.

A lively (for a Sunday night) and friendly sports orientated pub in a nice old building. Has good beer, three dart boards, a pool table, wide screen TV, a very pleasant barmaid?/landlady? and a fat friendly Black Labrador that takes up at least three bench seats. See previous post about the gents urinals....its true.

great little friendly pub. great Ringwood Ales and 2 good ciders. food is reasonably price and tasty, beware they don't take cards!...bring cash. or you may find yourself rummaging in the gents urinal...which doubles up as a wishing well!!
