user reviews of the Bluffs, Hayle

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

The view from the outside terrace & the front windows is absolutely superb. For a pub owned by the nearby Haven site, the Doombar was very good. The food was surprisingly good as well. One of the best holiday park bars you'll go to.

This is much better than when I first visited in 2001 when the only redeeming feature was the location and wonderful view over the bay, the staff are very good the food is reasonably descent, didn't try the ales as they serve a decent pint of rattler, but others seemed to be having it, hobgoblin and doom bar I think, also estrella lager looked good and was very popular, there's a nice kids play area and amusements with great views across the bay, someone has obviously realised that if ran well a lot more people would use it, nice place to take the kids

It is what it is, a 'pub' on a campsite which caters mainly for family holidays opening only in the summer months and Easter.

Do not expect haut cuisine if you choose to eat there as it is obviously modelling itself on Whetherspoons and serves chips by the bucketload. No beer on tap at time of visit only fizz....lagers and cider.

However, it has one of the best views in this part of the world and is worth a visit just to look at the sea with St Ives in the distance.

Previous reviews a bit old now.this place is what it is, ie, OK, now has pedigree and hobgoblin. As you can sit outside in a big garden and look out over the bay, this all you really need. On a sunny day...

Great views are the only plus point. No beer, horrible looking food (not tasted by me) and full of prams and pushchairs and a zoo-full of screaming kids.
Long may their parents frequent dumps like this.

Very handy if you are staying on the Haven or Toms sites. Had one meal there which wasn't too bad at all and the staff were pretty helpful too. Fantastic view of St Ives bay from the large outside seating area but the drink prices were a bit pricey in my opinion.

Excellant views of the bay and the best reason for being there. food is OK but it may take a while to come, especially if they loose your order.

The only thing going for this place is the spectacular views beer and food rubbish it is owned by Haven's and run by them completely souless if taken over by a tenant who actually cares about his business and clients it would be an absolute gold mine the property alone is worth a couple of million at least so it is not going to happen. shame

bit of a hole,o.k. to watch the footy, and a great view of the bay and St Ives,I think it's part of the Haven holiday park up the road, and has a club house vibe, young min wage staff, average beer(no ales)top prices, ropey conveyor belt food, but great if all you want is a couple of lagers on the nice terrace over looking the bay
