I can't rate this pub enough. I think the previous person must have been in a different pub or maybe somewhat intoxicated prior to visiting. I have been to this place many many times and have NEVER experienced anything like they have stated!

The pub is clean and well maintained with a superb beer garden and a large car park, the food is of exceptional quality and varied with a great selection of specials.

All of the staff are very well mannered and polite and more importantly are friendly, funny well presented and always interact with you whether you are a local or not.

The Landlady is professional and friendly and her team have always made my visits enjoyable.

The entertainment they offer is superb with some brilliant bands and musicians recently performing.

This is definately the place to be and I would strongly reccommend it. The best drinking/eating/socialising/entertainment venue in town!

Keep up the good work!

When I first went to eat in this pub last Wednesday the service was indifferent, the food okay. Despite the awful cold atmosphere and indifferent service we went on Sunday for my 62nd birthday.... (its close to home) I have never been treated so badly in any restaurant or pub anywhere! The landlady was rude in the extreme and told us that there wasn't enough food in the kitchen to feed the five of us as there was already a booking for 6 and 10 in the pub, along with the other 8 people drinking there. No surprise there were so few people in here though. We obviously didn't fit the requirements for this place, whatever they are, being a College lecturer, a business woman and a classroom assistant. It is said that good service doesn't exist in this country and this awful place is proof of that, they obviously don't need the money or the business.

Called in, en masse, after a particularly hard journey down the Grand Union Canal Northampton Arm. Although somewhat grubby, welcomed warmly. Good selection of 'girly' lagers but no real ale. Did have 'Bombadier' in bottles though. They are due to have hand-pumped ales installed very soon. Although we didn't eat, menu looked appealing. Interesting building with a magnificent staircase.

I ate here and thought it was lovely - decor is beautifully done, food was fantastic - we got there quite late and they still gave us a table and fed us. then we sat in the loungey type area and had several drinks and chilled out! Definately worth a visit! A+ !!

More of a winebar feel than a pub (although the prices are reasonable). 30+ crowd; not really a pubcrawl kind of place. But, very well fitted out, and quite a surprise for Northampton. If you're looking for a quiet drink in more upmarket surroundings, worth a visit.

My favourite pub in Northampton! Non-smoking (which, although I don't smoke doesn't seem to bother my mates who do as there's a heated, undercover outdoor area). The food here is really something different to the norm and they serve tapas which is a brilliant low-price alcohol accompaniment. The decor is superb and everything is classy and tastefully done.
Get there between 5pm & 8pm at the weekend and they have a special 15 a bottle deal on champagne. Heaven!!
Last but not least, they have a massive car-park and beautifully large courtyard garden. If you're in Northampton and haven't paid this place a visit yet - get your skates on and get down there!
