Great place to take the kids for a meal. Menu is varied. Service was excellent and real value for money.

The night life on a weekend nights isn't my cup of tea but I regularly visit to watch the football matches. The beer is to a decent standard and the food is top quality at affordable prices. The only things that have put me off are the slow bar staff who spent most of the time hiding in that little room at the end of the bar chatting amongst themselves rather then serving queue's building up at the bar

Tried it again after a year - staff are still more intent on discussing boyfriends than attending to their customers but the beer is very cheap (and with the turnover on account of cheapness is pretty good it has to be said). Still has the ambiance of an airport departure lounge though. I prefer a traditional 'proper' pub than a chain 'bar' but then that's me I guess

A decent pint of Wells Bombardier was quaffed in the sun out the front, great value too 7/10

I believe the Litten Tree and Yates are both 'brands' of the same holding company. Went in there but couldn't really tell any difference - staff still seem more interested in discussing their dates than serving customers and the place has all the ambiance of an airport departure lounge. Best avoided although the beer is quite cheap. For this reason alone 4/10

Well, at least the Litter Tray has gone. Not a bad thing. On first impressions the you wouldn't know if it was a Litter Tray or a Yates pub as they are pretty much the same thing. Cheap beer and cheap food. Hardly culinary excellence but then what do you expect? The beer was ok but most of the staff are mildly retarded and don't look old enough to drink let alone work there. Not sure what the reputation is like for the weekends but I suspect it can't be too different from when it was the Litter Tray. I feel though that my rating must increase since it has changed hands.

Having visited the last few weekends { daytimes only } I wish to revise my previous posting. I now find the staff more friendly and helpful. Some diners had a wait for the sunday lunch but we have had no such problems. I agree with chugmonkey about the curry, you get the full works unlike Weatherspoons and its realy good.If you drink wine then try the Echo Falls its on offer for under a fiver and is good for a merlot.

Now a yates, much better feel than it had. The staff seem ok and the beer was good, I had an extra cold kronenbourg and it was very cold. Food unbelievable prices, for example on a wednesday evening you can have a curry, rice popadums etc for 5.50 and that includes a pint, dont know how they do it. would not want to be in there at closing time at weekends

Recently rebranded as Yates's .The barmaids more interested in boy friends than customers. However the drink is priced right and the food is cheap and fills the hungry.

Said to have live boxing matches on here on Friday/Saturday nights with the police being the referee.

Very sterile atmosphere, almost clinical feel about the place. Long wait for food and uninterested staff.
Lots of fights on Fridays and Saturdays apparantly.
Avoid like the plague.

Known locally as the litter tray due to the quality of the customers. Popular because the only other bar with a late license was G's, where you'd be served watered down Carlsberg in plastic glasses and the bouncers were the police.

The only reason to visit this place it's if there's a decent sports event you want to see on their large television screen (unless you're into a spot of live boxing that is!) The advice under these circumstances is to enjoy the sport and leave immediately afterwards since other than this it's perfectly dreadful!

An ok pub. Cheap beer and zero atmosphere. Staff aren't up to much. Food is alright but nothing to shout about. Friday and Saturday nights used to be fight night but the big bouncers seemed to have that relatively well sorted for the most of things. Bit of a chavs place. Layout is crap and the aircon is set to freeze when there is noone in there.

Shockingly poor service, it appears the bar staff ignore everyone in favour of fit girls. Has all the atmosphere of an airport departure lounge, terrible layout and hardly anywhere to sit, your feet stick to the carpet and every flat surface is awash with spilt beer and covered with empty glasses.

The doormen make patrons queue outside even when it's empty, presumably to make it look popular and to add insult to injury, you have to pay to get in after 9pm.

The only reason this place gets any custom at all is because it's one of two pubs in Bicester with a late licence and the other one is even worse.
