all said before its a hotel bar basically but not too shabby,no cask ales but friendly enough service and a relaxing if not slightly clinical environment, two pints of fizz namely carlsberg were quaffed(£6.70)5/10

I wouldn’t ordinarily give this place a second glance but our annual office canal boat outing saw us put ashore in Kings Cross and this was the first place that managed to accommodate 11 of us without any kind of prior booking. It is essentially a hotel bar, a sizeable and rather rambling modern place with curved seating sectioned areas, big windows, arty photos of London sights and whilst not unpleasant on the eye, it lacks anything to make it stand out although a pool table does give it an attempted pubby approach. The atmosphere was fairly sterile and lacking any real buzz. The beer selection consisted of standard kegs / lagers / Guinness and no Ales on offer which is sufficient for me to give it a wide berth in the future. In all fairness our visit was more meal based and the meal we had was pretty decent, good value and the service excellent but as a watering hole, the place is not really worth going out of the way for.

It's a hotel bar, so will always be lifeless, I think people are being a bit unfair on that basis, as I'll never stay in the hotel i'm unlikely to ever drink there, though I've been in the once.

I agree with halfbee. This is a soulless drink shop, but which does have the advantage over other pubs in the vicinity of being relatively hygenic.

Not sure what is worse, the flea pit pubs surrounding this hotel bar or the sterile amibience of TWR.

Food expensively average, feels like a chain pub and staff are exquisitely rude (some even can communicate with their clients), but reasonably clean and you can spend all night without the threat of being glassed. Head south ½ mile to Queens Head on Acton road for a bit more class

Evey time i leave this pub i say i'll never return. the menu looks good but trust me myself and friends have often been sent to the ladies after eating there. the staff are the worst they walk around with ur food trying to find your table asking everyone and anyone if its theirs...even tho htey took ur bloody table number.oohh its just frustrating
