I was expecting a cracking village local in a place that does have two decent looking pubs.
It was however a bit of a rip off place and the pub was freezing too.
The actual pub is a good looking gem both inside and out but £4.00 a pint and £4.50 for a glass of wine is just ridiculous for a pub like this.

We won't be back!

Stayed here overnight on the way to Cornwall. Very welcoming and friendly. The room left a little to be desired but was still good value and, after all, we were only sleeping there as the pub provided great food and great entertainment. Maybe we dropped lucky but the Beatles tribute band that were playing were amazing and we stayed till the very end. Next morning the breakfast though served a little later than normal, (nine-o-clock), was superb and provided nourishment for the rest of the day! Beer was nothing special but acceptable enough. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants a stop-over or just a good meal.

Pub has changed lots big extension no longer squeezed in like sardines, food was great as was the service, beautiful pub in a great location for stopping off on the way into or out of cornwall, really easy to get on and off the A30, we'll definately be stopping there again.

Could it be that Blodwin is in someway connected to this pub?

The overcrowding is just as bad.
It may be a bigger sardine tin, but it's still a sardine tin.
Beats me why it's so popular anyway, can't say it's any good.

Actually they have now got a new extension built so the overcrowding isn'd as bad as it used to be,

Don't think about going here to eatif you like to have a lot of space: they cram customers in like sardines. It got to the point that everytime anyone from the tebleadjacent to ours wanted to go somewhere we all had to get up half way through our meals to let them out. Since they wont do table service for drinks, this meant we were up and down like yo-yos all throughout meal.
NOT a great dining experience
