Eagle Tavern, Leedsback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
It's probably one of the most civilsed pubs in Leeds. There' the occasional swear word or two. The beer is always good and Max & Mandy are arguable the best advert for Sam Smiths. I enjoy the peace & quiet, no loud idiots to spoil my libations.

Proper old fashioned carpets it's a pleasure to walk on, old black & white photos on the walls, some crap chipped china on a dusty window sill, a bit of peace & quiet, a bell on the bar, no-one in the pub who stinks of urine, cheap beer - it's a Sam Smith's pub after all - OOOooooohhhh.....fuc*in' lovely !

Whilst visiting the nearby BMW dealership I popped in here on the recommendation from a BMW employee. Being a Southerner, I was really overwhelmed by the welcoming and friendliness of the staff in this Pub. The lunch was absolutely supurb, generous portions, hot, and well presented.Excellent choice of beers that I wanted to try that we don't see down South, but if I did I'd end up in trouble. So I settled for the Sam Smiths. In future ALL my trips to Leeds will include a visit to the Eagle Tavern.

Every thing about this place is great Good company (Max & Mandy) and all the locals, excellent pint of Sam Smith Pure Lager (used to have at least a pint a day (Liquid Lunch) when i worked in Leeds)
One of the Warmest most welcoming places in Leeds to have as quiet a pint as you like normally quiet for us (lounge) as baby is normally with us however pool table, darts, lively music and good friendly people next door in the bar
Have one for me

It's still offering a great pint and a great greeting from the Staff. Max & Mandy are a credit to Samuel Smiths, hosts par excelance. Interesting mix of drinkers and the ocassional well behaved dog.

It's come a long way since the famous Les Moon left many years ago. It's been a Sam Smith pub for some time now, with just about the full range of SS offerings. Max & Mandy will make you most welcome, although I wish the brewery would find a few pounds to do at least a paint job.
