Returned after a visit 2years ago and what a change. The lovely landlady has left and it is now run by young ones and a landlord who was more interested in being the wrong side of the bar. All the personal touches have gone as with the great food and nice atmosphere but at least the lovely dog was still there. I say "bring back the old landlady and get this pub back to how it was!!!" On the upside still a good pub for sport just put some bar staff in that now what they are doing, ie. talk to your customers and stop gazing at yourself in the mirrors

They have a good selection of real ales at The Swan, and it's well kept. It's the best pub in Banbury to watch the football, when it's usually packed. There's plenty of banter but its not too lairy even when there's a derby match on.

Excellent evening last Saturday entertaining Karaoke, downside served two pints of Purity which were both pulled flat, [i.e. with the nozzle rightdown into the glass,] despite me pointing this out the second arrived in the same condition.all very well serving real ale ,but you need to train your staff in how to pull a good pint

No real ale anymore but a friendly sports led boozer with live music Karaoke etc at weekends. Well run and good fun, nothing more nothing less.

Had a pint of Deuchars IPA in here the other day. Not bad considering they didn't used to serve proper beer, but just a bit too cold. Give it a try and let them know that real ale is the way forward!

I recently stayed overnight at The Swan and can thoroughly recommend it ...Alan & Sara run a lively , but not mad , pub and the locals were nice friendly people too !! My room was clean and fresh and reasonable and I enjoyed a really nice steak washed down with a few beers as i watched football on the big screen..All in all a really nice experience...If you going to stay in Banbury for a night or two you could do a hell of a lot worse than to give The Swan a go ...

Great pub for sports, taken over the mantle from Tommy Flynns, good range of beers, but alas no real ale. Good pub food, served mainly during the day and very good service, fast and friendly. Huge garden and function room. A proper drinking pub, with it has to be said, a drop dead horny landlady !
