the last time i was in the cricketers the food was excellent and the beer was very good, it will be ashame if the pub closes .

Shame it's closed.
Choice has been taken away from this beautiful village, as the other! on the green, is no longer a real pub.

Passed by the Cricketers today and it looked a bit sorry for itself. Closed and festooned with 'For Sale' boards, with an extra bit adding 'Price Reduced'. Guess it'll be a private house before too long :-(

Popped in after reading Mike O's review in Wallingford angle nice warm atmosphere beer good but unable to try food as they were not serving it. Such a shame the current tenants are moving on, most of the people i have spoken to will really miss them. Good luck on there next adventure

Well, such a friendly place, the Fish'n'Chips were great, and certainly the best I've tasted for a while, albeit not coming with a glass of fizz! outstanding. The ales are also excelance, with a good wine list.
Very pleasent stop off, as I travelled through the area.

Two guest beers and excellent food. Claims to have the best fish and chips in Oxfordshire - one I can't verify not having tried many other establishments in that county but they were certainly very tasty.

Lovely atmosphere, staff and oter customers so friendly. Nice warm fire, fatnastic food (sunday lunch was the best I have ever eaten). Will be returning on a weekday to try other items on huge menu.
