This used to be my local, so I'm a bit biased. The Thai food is fantastic, with a great selection on the menu, including specials. The beer is consistently good, and the selection of drinks is very big. They have always had a reputation for pretty girls behind the bar, keep up the good work, well done Justin! There is always a good vibe in the bar, and is a great place to spend the evening, although, you'll find it hard not to eat there when you smell the food going out, from the kitchen, lovely... There is also a fantastic patio/garden that is perfect for those 'all day' sessions, when the sun is out... 10/10

This evening Ringwood Best an a very nice pint of Hop Back Summer Lightning was on offer, a bit pricey at 2.95 for the summer, but makes a change from Ringwood beers in Christchurch.

We use this often on a Tuesday. Eaten a few times and continue to be impressed!

I seem to be in a bit of a minority for not liking this pub all that much. I generally go into a pub for a pint and therefore assess a place by (i) the quality of the beer (not bad), (ii) the price (expensive), and (iii) the efficiency of the staff (crap). The girls may look pretty but they are useless at identifying who is next. I still go in but only as a watering hole on the way to somewhere else.

Lovely pint of Ringwoods 49'er. Lovely Thai food - you may have to book, lovely service, lovely beer garden to the rear. Good friendly atmosphere, just thinking about it makes me want to go back again - soon.

One of my favourite pubs, whether it be for a quick snack, full meal or simply for an enjoyable pint. You'll not be surrounded by any yobs as the regulars are more likely to be talking about boats than Ford Escorts!!!
Not a cheap pub but worth the extra pennies to be surrounded by lovely young bar maids.

Nothing wrong with the beer, but I do object to being told to vacate a table because some diners have just come in, and they take priority!

I love The Rising Sun, its so friendly. All of the staff are very welcoming and make spending a little bit more not an issue. Great food because I love thai!! A 10 out of 10!
