Great fun - but wrap up well as (unbelievably) its bl**dy cold.

This is good fun, a good way to start a night out. The 12 admittance includes a cocktail, refills a 6. If you view it as a touristy thing and are not looking for anything more this is a laugh.

Went there last night for drinks and dinner in the non-ice bit of the bar and had a crap time. It's table service only, no ordering at the bar, and for 10 minutes we sat there expecting one of the five members of staff who were busy gossiping to come and take our order. In the end I literally had to stand up and wave madly to get them to come over. Awful.

The food was bizarre, a really poorly thought out meny that leaves you thinking "Yes? And where's the full menu then?". I had roast pork belly with a stewed apple which was quite nice, probably not worth 14 though and the 3 side-dish of chips were cold. Others had a mixed plate of cold cuts with a bread stick and some olives (7, unpleasant). A friend ordered foccacia bread which came with three dips so nasty we handed them round and it became a macho display if you could stomach them! Another had the lamb samosas which were OK, but again, at 7 for a small portion they were no better than you might expect from a decent tandoori.

The main thing that narked me off about this place was that the service was, at best, below average. Yet they add a 12.5% service charge on everything, and suggest that you leave a tip IN ADDITION for the great service you're getting. If you don't tip on top of the service charge you receive scowls from the staff all night.

I'm certainly never going back, only seems suitable for tourists who don't know how much pounds are worth.

Went there with some mates a few weeks back, didn't book but had to queue for around 15 minutes or so. Got in and donned the obligatory cape and gloves, queued for another 10 minutes inside for a drink as it was rammed. It finally got a little less crowded as a load of tourists from Italy left. Stayed in there for nearly an hour and half before frostbite got the better of us - even the vodka couldn't keep us warmed up for that long. Not sure if I'd go back, perhaps with others who haven't been before, it is a good place to impress though - if you can see each other through the big hoods!

It was goog fun, but they let too many people in at one time. You go in and stand around admiring it for a bit, then it takes ages to get a drink. If they maybe allowed 10 less people a time it would be better. Alternatively, are they open at lunch-time....

Went there with the girls tonight & didn't wait to get in, got given our capes / gloves & went in with our cocktail ticket (15, not 12!) Drinks were good & staff were friendly - yes, a bit touristy but worth it for the experience. 2 tips: wear 2 pairs of socks otherwise your toes freeze. Stand in the middle of the bar, not at the end & you'll get served quicker!
Photos are worth it so you can show your mates what the Grim Reaper in Lapland looks like, as you stand there in your hooded capes!
We probably wouldn't go there a second time but the side bar , where we had a 2nd drink is nice.
Worth it, just so you can say you've been!

Certainly an experience, but doubt I'll go back. Smaller than expected, queueing was poorly managed and staff were rude when time was called.
But as said, worth the experience - take a camera!

I took a girl on our first date to the Ice bar last night. I kept the venue a secret and you should have seen her face when we arrived!
Its so different you get the feeling you're on another planet. Its certainly not the kind of place you would return to regularly but as a one off, perticularly if your trying to impress and/or surprise them, its a real treat.
The date went well....
