Three Crowns, Wisborough Greenback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
The Three Crowns is a pub cum restaurant that appears to be popular with the local hoi polloi. Many of them were dining inside with their charges. We chose to sit in the large rear garden, access to which is through a narrow area to the side of the bar. But first you need to negotiate the teenage waiters and waitresses discussing their jobs. They are fairly oblivious to the fact that customers might want to get through to the garden which is the pub's biggest draw. It's a very pleasant space with plenty of tables, chickens to one side and a couple of swings at the back. Ales were Weltons English Pride, Shepherd Neame Spitfire Gold, Harveys Sussex Best Bitter & Hammerpot Red Hunter.

This pub does some things really well, atmosphere is one and it's reassuring to see that the locals use it to drink in as well as to eat in. They do get a bit loud and drop the odd f word now and again but at the end of the day it's a pub, go to a restaurant where you can hear a pin drop if you can't handle that sort of thing. The beer is ok, not in amazing condition, in the winter it was freezing cold and dead but has improved recently as the outside temp has risen and Ben the man that can is constantly trying to improve things so fair play for that!
As for food, it's pretty good quality but small portions of it. It's a common thing in foodie pubs in a recession, they reduce their prices to get the punters in but naturally reduce the portions (you don't get something for nothing, you should know this by now ;-) so much so in fact that after a cheese burger �10.50 (accompanied by seven chips, that's right, I counted them) and a dessert �5.50 I was still hungry and felt disappointed by the experience.
Overall not a bad pub, atmosphere is good, go here for a beer with your mates but if your hungry after a days graft and need a plate full of food then there are many pubs nearby which you can get better food and more of it for the same price or lower.

First heard about this pub a week ago, and took a drive out last sunday to have a look with my partner. The menu was amazing and so decided to stay and have a light bite to eat. I have since followed up with another trip this time taking 3 friends. The Resturant had a booking of 15 arriving the same time as us, but we never at anytime felt like we were not being attend to. Our food and drinks were prompt and I can say that the Rib-eye steak that I had, was by far the best steak I have ever had. - I work in the catering industry myself! We were presented with homemade bread and oil when we sat down, by the Manager, who informed us that he has recently joined the pub also. One of my friends who is Pregnant (and vegetarian!), cannot eat certain foods and the chef and manager catered to her every needs. The food was amazing, well presentated and fresh. Reasonable prices. We all enjoyed our evening and will definatly be returning again soon.

Under new management-attempting the "gastro-pub" experience. The most diabolical ploughmans I have ever seen!! Two small bread rolls a piece of cheese and a tiny portion of pickle ansd a few rocket leaves-�7.50-served on a strange long wooden platter!!??. Rest of menu overpriced for what is on it-Sort of place Ramsey would love to do a Kitchen Nightmares episode. This is one off my list now.

had lunch here with my wife and two small children this sunday gone. choice of two real ales on tap, courage directors and west sussex bitter. emphasis on eating, although the extremely long wait for food (50 mins) not really excusable. Very, very friendly landlady though - replaced our pints completely unprompted after about 15 mins as they weren't bright enough in her opinion. Food when it finally arrived very good - superb quality, pink roast beef which melted in the mouth, sourced locally apparently. Slightly annoying soft rock (whitesnake, tina turner) in the bar area and slow wait for food aside, this seemed a really nice, friendly pub and i would return if ever in the area again.

found the beer to be a bit average, archers ales?! did'nt taste very good, my girlfriend and me had a meal in there but that was a bit ordinary as well. I had a few great meals in there a few years ago but not this time. It is more of a restaurant pub than a drinkers pub which suits me but there was a group of young lads in there being a bit leary which was a bit of a dissapointment.
