Old pub on the market square with a GK corporate interior finish. Okay for what it is - though no great selection outside of GK offerings. Ale was okay here (I tried one of the GK seasonal brews forgotten it's name now).

Popped in before attending a comedy club nearby. We’d sadly just missed out on their Easter beer festival, with the stillage empty and most of the clips turned around. My lucky find though was that Greene King (a brewery that I really don’t usually have much time for) are now doing a Black IPA. I duly gave it a try and found it to be rather nice. Wouldn’t mind trying the beers brewed at the rear of the pub, so will drop by again soon.

Found this by chance and on a Sunday! A considerable selection of ales three made in a microbrewery on their own premises. 50p off a pint if you are a member of their cask club. Sunday roast was excellent - lots of beef (thought they also offer pork and turkey. Locally made beer is very nice and well maintained - even to you knowing when the cask was filled. £23 for two Sunday lunches, a pint of beer and a pinot grigio. Service very pleasant and attentive, toilets very clean. We shall go back.

I made a return visit to Biggleswade last night as I wasn't aware of this pub the last time I was in the town in February, 2015. After a number of foodie-type pubs in North Bedfordshire, this was much more to my liking. There is one room which is quite narrow, but stretches back a fair way. The bar area was packed with drinkers and parties, making the task of getting served more arduous than it should have been. The rear area of the room is a small area for dining with a carvery. Ales were Brentwood Chocwork Orange, Greene King IPA, XX Mild & London Glory, Sadlers One Hop Stop, Nobbys Guilsborough Gold, Wells Eagle IPA & Mighty Oak Maldon Gold. Ciders were Aspalls Cyderkyn & Westons Old Rosie & Rosie's Pig. I think I still prefer the Golden Pheasant across the road. But this is certainly another good option in Biggleswade and would have possible have got a higher rating me from me if it had not been so crowded.

I’m not often over this way, so having read about the New Inn winning the East Beds CAMRA branch’s pub of the year award, I figured I’d drop in for a quick pint.
If I hadn’t had a purpose for my visit then I’d have been put off by the prominent Greene King branding, as that usually indicates boring, generic beer.
Happily there were eight ales on offer – four pump clips on sight as soon as you come in the door and then four at the bottom of the bar – ranging from generic GK to much more interesting.
My pint, from the Windsor & Eton brewery, was around £3.50, obviously well kept and unusually served in a stemmed glass.
The friendly barman indicated that from Thursday (28 April) the pub would have the first ale from its own microbrewery on tap: blonde, hoppy and apparently very nice.
As for the pub, it’s large enough in size, lots of polished woods and the window seat in which I sat was comfy.
Type of place I would happily stop for a session.

Used to be a good pub but current landlady is trying to make it a wine bar feel, doesn't bode well with the locals. Can get asked to leave if you are too noisy !

Best pub I found in Biggleswade. Appears to be run by same management team as THe Chequers in Stevenage. Saturday afternoon, absolutely rammed with rugby fans, but a friendly happy atmosphere throughout Had two excellent pints of Old Speckled Hen.
Definitely worth a visit.

The New Inn is now under new ownership and they seem to be really trying hard to turn it around. They already have some real ales on and i'm told that they are going to start serving food again. The manageress told me that they are planning to redecorate and re furnish in the next couple of weeks and that they want to create somewhere that is relaxed and welcoming, a far cry from what it has been over the last few years!!!! Good luck to them!!!!

No longer serving food. Very basic back street type boozer. Not the cleanest pub in town, but they tell me the beer is ok. Don't know, wouldn't be seen dead in here!

The new inn is a great pub to go to. Even on a Thursday night with Karaoke. You alway get lively crowd and even the barman take a crack at the mic. There is even a disco on a Satursday evening. Also you can join in the monday night open mic evening. Where people can show of there talents. if you have band or solo. You could even be a great comedian. Also has great beer and food. Best pub in Biggleswade.

Good pub if you're under 18! If you're actually old enough to drink i'd go somewhere else!
