Lookimg for a pub with a beer garden.... A massive one through the arch. Doom bar excellent and food very good.

At least 4 local ales on Three Tuns Clerics Cure, Ludlow best, Shropshire Lass and a Saddler's brew. Quiet Friday afternoon, but nice enough place

Not quite sure what this place is trying to be. The front area was full of pensioners and families eating but to the accompaniment of heavy bass to the music. Was interrupted as I was ordering by a young 'supervisor' castigating one of the barstaff over a missed food order. Now the said member of barstaff done her job diligently enough to ask if I'd like to try before buying... shame her 'superior' didn't have the courtesy to realise that the customer is supposed to come first. Waiting 30 seconds to let a someone be served would not make the gaffe to someone else be any less - barging in between a barstaff/customer transaction to prove one's 'weight' in the pecking order shows how important that person views the customer. In this case it meant that I told the missus not to bother coming in to see if she fancied eating here. A shame really, as the Wood's Shropshire Lad was a really nice pint.

Nice Jacobean looking builing from the outside, the interior is very open plan, with several sections within, including; diniing area, sofa kind of wierdy bench things (i know thats not helpful), half backed chairs and more traditional tables and stools. Plain walls are adorned by memorabilia of old Bridgnorth and easy listening music was played at a nice level. The service was functional. It was pretty empty when we visited.

Beer wise, apart from the usual tosh, there was Wood's Shropshire Lad, which was really nice and Summer That. Also Brains Bitter and Bombardier.

I would visit this place again, happily

This place was closed last night and most of the fixtures and fittings removed. The bar and the beer pumps etc are still there though so it looks like it's getting another refurb.

Judging by the last reviews way back in 2007, someone must have refurbished this place somewhat recently. It's a great looking pub from the outside, all black and white and matches the fantastic old town hall facing it. The inside isn't as striking with modern tables and a pool table, plus a quiz machine. Two handpumps on the bar Banks's Bitter & Old Speckled Hen. Had a Banks's, served by a trainee barmaid called Petra, it was OK (the beer not the barmaid, she was nicer than the beer). It's still not great in here, but I suspect it's improved since 2007.

I had remembered this pub as being really good after a pub crawl. I must have been REALLY pissed. Real ale is awful and it is just grim.

Grim. Dingy. Filthy.

Terrible draught ale, indifferent staff.

If you are in Bridgnorth this pub comes highly recommended. It has none of the would-be-club hangups of The Crown, or the terrible service of Weatherspoons; just good beer, good atmosphere and good service.
