I visited this ESTABLISHMENT I think about the late seventies,I made the mistake of sitting on the managers stool.it had a white fur top.I was asked to leave.Good ridance to The Seagull. An awful pub.

Had my first pint of Stella in here in 1982 when it was the dearest pint to buy at 1 - Happy days .. Sad to hear of its demise.

Sad to see it demolished. Had many good nights here in the late nineties.

It used to have the nickname "the airport lounge" due to its dreadful architecture.

How many "luxury flats" can they build around here? I assume the developers will go bankrupt in the crash.

Cant say anything about this pub - its been demolished to make way for lots of new flats.

Sorry to read about the demise of the Seagull, it held some good memories albeit distant ones.

Goodbye Seagull - you died young young, but the developers wanted your ground for rich people's apartments. You were only ever a grockle place - but now you are in seagull heaven. RIP

Now demolished. The large hole in the ground is in preparation for 'stunning luxury apartments, many with coastal views'

The Seagull is the nearest pub to me, but I avoid it. The trouble is that it has been built with the express purpose of attracking the people who walk down to the beach. For those of us who are locals it is known as a "grockle" pub, and we rarely use them. The service in the Seagull is very casual, and they do not care about serving you. It is a captured market for them.

Millay is right. This was a half decent place up until six or seven years ago. Hope that someone can take over and turn it round as this place should be thriving with its location near to the beach.

From previous comments this place seems to have gone downhill (no pun intended). Used to drink there around ten years ago, especially for the Pompey Royal.

Forgot to mention the annoying piped music and the cash machine in the bar. Shouldn't think that this gets much usage.

Just come from there and there was only one other person drinking there. You had to ring a bell to get service. CCTV all over the place and signs stating that the film would be handed over to the police if necessary. From what I gather it's all too necessary in this place. Pub is owned by Enterprise in has has a small menu. With its proximity to the beach it ought to be thriving on a Bank holiday weekend but welcome to Boscombe. This place is supposed to be a free house but four beer pumps were inoperative for reasons unknown. Place has two bars.
