This is a large what some would say is a plastic pub, Alot of children milling about the Friday i visited.This was my 2nd visit in the past few months,and have to say that i am not overboard with either the drinks or food,wouldn't go out of my way to get there, but obviously geared up for and used by Famillies.

What a nice feeling pub, friendly staff and good food. We had trouble getting a parking space on a tuesday lunchtime the pub was very busy but a smile was still on everyones face. we will be back.

The Bucket and Spade has had a refurb and wow it looks great, the carvery on a sunday was fantastic, and the staff were the best, well done everyone.

As previously mentioned, very few staff and those who are there are poorly trained. The place is tacky and unclean, food is awful. Shame as when this pub first opened it was lovely and the staff were great, and a decade later it has sunk to the depths.

Avoid,avoid,avoid. This pub needs a serious refurb. The place is filthy dirty, the service and food is appalling and we will never go back.

Packed out, not enough staff,got bored and walked out. After reading previous postings I think I had a lucky escape. ( consider it unfair to rate as neither the food or beer was tried).

After the assistant at the food till asked her colleagues 4 times what she needed to do to order my wife's food i had a feeling it was going to be a bad experience.
After sitting and waiting for 45mins for our starter i went and enquired where it was and was told it would be 2-3mins, 10mins later, 55mins after we ordered our starter arrived and it was wrong!
Back it wnt with a reassurance our starter would be with us shortly, 5mins later our main course arrived and 5mins after that our starter arrived.
Honest opinion dont bother.

Driven past this place many a time but only popped in for first time yesterday and soon wished i hadn't!.
no real ale on, srongbow �2.80 a pint, sticky food encrusted table, worn seating and dirty carpet,too family fun 4 my liking, chavvy too and jeremy kyle on the tv, needless to say 5/10

I went whenn the old manager was there and hated the place, only went back as we were hungry and it was close, But the new Manager is fab.. happy, friendly.. and made it feel like my local, the food was yummy, now we'll be making sure we drop in everytime we're passing on a road trip.
