A step back in time to when I first started drinking and all pubs had dark wooden panelling and a carpet that was fitted on VE day. I loved it!!! Very nice pint of Harveys Old and although the menu is very limited (at least at lunchtime) the value for money can't be beat. Three main meals with drinks for less than 25 - another blast from the past. Pubs with character should be treasured before Mitchells and Butler destroy both them and our very souls.

Been in a few times. Above average quality Harveys at under 3 a pint. Thatchers gold cider for the wife - none of that Strongbow s***e

Always found the bar staff quite welcoming. It's great for us smokers that the landlord has made a real effort to create a comfortable area with heating in the back garden.

My only criticism is that they don't sell any of the mainstream brands of cider such as Strongbow. If they did, I would go more often!

It's a pub; they sell beer and other intoxicating beverages. They have a telly. Some people go there, others don't. I went there but may not go again. There are other pubs to consider!

An unspoilt "real" pub with a welcoming atmosphere. Serves well-kept Harveys including the Pale Ale on draught; a good choice for a lunchtime beer.Pity more pubs don't have a low ABV beer on.

Looks a bit run down in the locale, which is a shame.

Hailsham's a bit odd though....................
