I didn't like this pub before, but now its been refurbed and the previous landlord has gone things have certaintly perked up - better service, better products, better price and more going on.
I hope they get the outside area tidy and ready for easter and there will still be the Beer Festivals next year, but the signs so far are good - keep up the great work

Is closed for refurbishment, but Dave won't be there when it re opens so I'm told, which is sad as he is a real ale lover and did his upmost to keep pub from getting into the hands of knob heads. Enterprise Inns should be ashamed of themselves.

Remarkably good Coach House Britannia Bitter. And only 1.65 a pint!

A friendly pub and the beer is well kept. What "Lawson" says about the food is spot on.

Forgot to mention The Britannia also has the best daytime food around. Great prices and no skimping on meals.
All home made at the pub,all the best ingredients and real mash potato to boot, and the gravy should be patented and sold as an elixier of life.

Has got better since the smoking ban. Very consistant, and has about the busiest and best daytime punters.

What used to be called a workingman's pub; plain but lovable. Moorhouses was passable but trade for real ale slow.

If your after a decent pint in Farnworth this is the (only) place - surroundings could be improved but are what they are. Moorhouses well kept and well priced.

Very quiet when I popped in on a Tuesday night. Looks run down from the outside (opposite Farnworth Bus Station) but the barmaid and locals were friendly and the Moorhouses beer was well kept and very cheap.
