It seems the refurbishment of what was previously a pleasant traditional pub amounts to having a DJ banging out unbearably loud music. I was turned away for the first time in 10 years. When I asked one of the meat head bouncers why there was a dress code in a pub, I was told to lose the attitude or he would radio ahead. I'm not sure who he planned to contact. I reminded him that he wasn't a policeman, nor was he Airwolf, but he didn't want to accept this. Another perfectly good boozer ruined by this horrible trend of bars pretending to be a nightclub. What a shame! Avoid!

Not since it was a beefeater restaurant have I been so keen to eat here. The menu is extensive, reasonably priced and the food itself very good. The staff are very friendly as is the atmosphere. For special occasions I used to go to the M&C at hall place but they have priced themselves out of the game and the nags head is a suitable replacement. Could do with a couple more ales.

Not to bad a boozer, its okay for a couple of pints during the week, food seems popular and pretty well priced.
Probably the best pub that end of Welling...

Sterile pub in-a-box. Sadly its about as good as it gets in Welling. This area is crying out for a decent boozer. Its a sad state of affairs when the only 2 tolerable pubs in an area are the Greene King, and Wetherspoons.

this is my local pub and i love it in their. Yes it has had it's problems but the place is fine along with great food and good beer even though a bit dear.
They have a good choice of music and bar staff are all freindly and down to earth.

I agree this pub is expensive, but the food is excellent and not expensive, you get a good plate full that is well tasty the staff seem sullen, they need classes as to how to be more welcoming if you detract form the rest , it is possible to enjoy an good night here

The pub is okay, but a little bit expensive. It is good for a game a pool with three tables and space around each table to take a decent shot.

I hear Greene King has recently taken this pub over. They'll have a tough job of following their company policy of ruining every pub they take over with this place - how do you make it worse?

Not a pub I frequented much when living nearby, I did however pay a visit recently and while the overall atmosphere was okay for most of the night, a fight almost kicked off between two groups of guys and it made for an uneasy last pint. The place is decent enough on the whole and the jukebox is well stocked. The prices are cheap here and there is a mixed crowd, yet I cant imagine myself paying another visit when next in the area.

This one can be a bit hit and miss - I've been in here and got a really good bite to eat, and staff have been friendly etc. Other times its exactly the opposite!

This pub is horribly depressing. A boring selection of drinks, an edgy atmosphere, people who know nothing about any sport except football, dirty, scruffy decor with mass-produced trinkets, absolutely no redeeming features at all. Avoid unless you're an alcoholic and want to mix with plenty of others.

Some of the staff are really nice some can get a bit rude though. food is good because they have a really good chef but if he is not there then it can be a bit nasty. For some people it can be a nice pub but for some it can be really awful it depends on what sort of person you are, but i like the pub and some of the people in it and who work there.

Well, as we had the long easter weekend me and a few of the lads desided to go on a little pub crawl from the top of Welling down through to Bexleyheath, along the way we stopped in the pub (about the 4th along). Whilst playing pool one of our party put his coat over the back of his chair, whilst taking shoots he was obviously not sitting on the chair, however he did not expect someone to casually walk past, pick it up (along with his phone inside) and wander out the door! Nice pub, but what a shit, what sort of cheap prick nick's a coat? Drink in here, but make sure you don't get pissed or leave anything more than an arms strech away! (that includes your drink, these tramps must get thursty after there petty crime spree's!)
