please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Had a break from the ales and popped in here for a cocktail which cost just 8.50. Plenty of foreign lager-style beers on offer here (and a superb range of whiskies etc) but did not see anything resembling a real ale. Do not confuse with Pub du Vin which is next door (I suspect previous reviewers have)!

Pub du vin just down the road from the bistro /hotel has a large selection of unusual bottled beers and a really good stance on your classic pub grub with the Du Vin twist.
Have enjoyed some lovely lunches here either after staying in the hotel or christmas shopping in Brighton - look out for Du vin offers on their website!

I've been here quite a few times before as they do a lovely veggie burger was disappointed as the service was pretty bad when i went a few weeks back.
The glasses were cloudy the beer garden was dirty and the manager wandered round in dirty shorts and flip flops. i'm all for a relaxed informal pub but staff were verging on rude. i overheard another couple talking about the standard of service but they told me it was just an off day and the staff had probably just been out partying all night. still for 3 quid a pint i am paying for service and i expect it. i will probably return though as they play good music and i haven't tried the roast yet which is meant to be nice.

Although I liked the atmosphere and the Garden of this pub, it was the worst pint of Harvey's I've ever had (and I've had a lot). Despite this the barmen insisted it was ok! Hopefully this was just a one off.

Having just recently moved round the corner from The Hampton (from not so sunny London), I've found this place welcoming and friendly. It might help that I'm not used to being able to stumble home after a night out (and am not missing the tubes) but the staff are friendly and the free net access if a gift indeed!

Its a pity that Crizqo is a 96 year old man with a hatred for fun pubs with welcoming atmospheres, friendly staff and a diverse environment...as a regular, I think the hampton is a cracking pub with the best music playing in town at a normal volume(maybe Crizqo should turn down that hearing aid!). And as a matter of fact they don't have all dayers for the zap etc, and they don't play host to a pill-head crowd as far as im aware. Maybe Crizqo is thinking of wetherspoons or something...

I liked this place- nicely done out inside with a good atmosphere. A pint of red stripe was 2.05 in happy hour and the food looked good.

Ok-ish place but a bit bland and my mobile doesn't work there either which is a pain.
Beer's ok but the garden out back seems to attract a high proportion of annoyingly loud types in the summer.

Very friendly staff and good menu also good to read the papers on a quiet saturday afternoon. However can get busy with the "urban young professional type" who think the world revolves around them. It does have a bice little garden which is lovely on a hot summers day. Seems to be in a mobile phone network black spot, orange does not seem to work in this pub.
