Feisty landlady. Salt of the earth don't mess with me type.
Old fashioned boozer - pool darts, piss-heads etc etc.

The Northern's boarded up now. There had been complaints about it from residents but, as it really didn't seem to be any different to how it's always been, this might have been more down to new residents in the than it's being a bad pub.

It's always a shame to see a pub go.

I visited one Saturday afternoon when plenty of ale had allready passed the lips of the locals and I found it to be quite friendly and not a bad place at all. Just the luck of the draw I guess.

A truly awful, unfriendly pub in one of the rougher parts of Brighton. Shepherd Neame pubs are normally worth a visit, but this one is beyond hope. And it's always been the same!
If you're desperate for a drink, pop next door to the Druids. Otherwise get the bus or run - north, south, east, west, it doesn't matter!
