Long since converted to a house. Time to zap it from here.

Owner has applied for planning to convert to a private house. Probably a good idea since it's been a financial disaster for the last few owners who have run it as a pub.

Still not sure about this place. It's been painted inside but there's still a poor selection of drinks and no real ale. Maybe, maybe not......

Seemed like a bit of a youth club, with kids milling about all day drinking 7up. The tenant was nice enough, but that was the only positive. It just seemed messy, with PA bits just stacked up in the corner & broken windows fixed with chicken wire in the toilets. 2 lagers out of 3 on (Stella/Carlsberg), no bitters on & no atmosphere either.

Been in twice over the past few weeks and its been almost empty both times and has the air of a place thats on its way out. On both occasions the two beer pumps were turned around, but then again I probably wouldnt trust the ale in a place so quiet. Not sure what the plans for the place are but with Guinness at 3.20 theyre not going to attract too many customers. Its a shame really as its a decent building and could have some potential.

This pub is slowly getting back on track, although the lack of real ales is a weakness - at least in my opinion. Still, give it time. The barman was friendly and hard working.

Nice enough, but apparently this place is still struggling to find a long-term tenant. I detect another possible own-goal by Punch Taverns.

Closed down yesterday - on a Bank Holiday! Obviously looking for new tenants. Don't all rush...

A locals pub but friendly enough. Serves a couple of real ales and the food is ok.

Visited yesterday as part of the Abbey Line 'Rail Ale trail' and enjoyed a well kept pint of Spitfire and a warm welcome from the new landlady (she had only taken over 4 weeks ago) I Recommend that you give the Fox and Hounds a fresh try.

Unless you're a local, don't bother. The regulars cling to the bar and the barlady chats with them. Yesterday I had to wait 5 minutes for no good reason, and was on the verge of sending up distress flares when she finally condescended to serve me. A pity, since the Spitfire beer was fine and the menu looked good. But I shan't be back. If you want good service go to the Gate up the road.

Reasonable pub opposite the train station. Spitefire is available, plus Tetleys Smooth and various lagers. Very much a locals' pub, but nothing wrong with that. If the Sports TV gets a bit overpowering, it's pleasant to sit outside in the sunshine. Sunshine permitting. 6/10
