Brackenbury, Shepherds Bushback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Lots of potential for this establishment, obvious choice would be to convert into a trendy gastro pub given the location. Would be great if it could be brought back into independant ownership, currently owned by Enterprise Inns, or at least Fullers could buy it.

Yeah, it closed last year, suddenly and without ceremony. I didn't realise for a while because everything was left just as it was with all the posters up and so on, but after a while I started to think "hang about there's never anyone in there". Heard gossip that it was shut down after a police raid of some sort.

It looks very much as though it has closed.

This is a very casual easy going suburban pub. The owner comes out from behind the bar and has a drink and is friendly, and remembers you if you have been in recently. Got a couple of long tables for a group catch up, a decent pool table that is not too busy. The locals who drink here look a little hard but are friendly.

Soulless and not a place I'd return to. However, I would recommend a quick look at the secondary door to the gents, which appears to have had someone thrust through it head first in true cartoon fashion.

The Brackenbury Arms (formerly the Wheatsheaf) is a pretty good example of pub hell. A characterless, featureless, modernised pub with keg beers, hollow atmosphere, bland dcor, rubbish music and just when you think it cant get any worse, 2 screaming 6 year olds messing around on the pool table. The highlight of the week appears to be a karaoke evening. Say no more.

Relaxing pub, perhaps due to the abundance of Green decor. Go there quick before it gets eaten up by the Brackenbury Village ya ya's
