Now apparently sold again. Good luck to the new owners. Let's keep hoping it will get the TLC it deserves and reopen sooner rather than later.

Just gone up for sale again. Don't know what happened to the first buyers, they seemed full of ideas but never got there. Now with luck someone will reopen it and make it the great pub it has the potential to be

This was never a busy pub but did serve nice beer, notably the Whitstable Bay. Nice enough staff but needed a makeover which it's now going to get.

Latest rumours are that this will be an asian fusion restaurant soon.

I tried to stay here once, the room was damp, the main road was noisy, the food was not great and owner was rude and swore at me when I complained!! We left without staying. Beer was average though.

Sadly this pub is currently closed as the landlord retired and Shepherd Neame in their wisdom decided to sell it. There are loads of rumours about what will happen but I have a feeling it might just reopen soon with some albeit familiar new faces. Watch this space would be the best advice!!!

in the white horse saturday better than most of the other pubs in the town

landlord clearly knows his way around a kitchen--struck me as being an ex-forces veteran more adept and feeding 100's than maybe an odd coupla dozen on a sunday--excellent grub--recommended.

Friendliest greeting on Edenbridge Town tour. Was in early so only customer but guv took time to explain his beer rotation policy. Keeps two Sheps pumps with Masterbrew a constant and the other rotating seasonally. At this time t'other was Early Bird which will give way to Goldings or Whitstable Bay (summer), then Late Red (Autumn), then Spitfire (Winter). Be interested to see the pub when busier; beware it closes in afternoon and was already locked when I returned at 15:05.

Fabulous gourmet evening recently. Food out of this world. Looking forward to next one.

Friendly Shepherd Neame pub that serves good beer, although a little lacking in atmosphere.
Well cooked excellent simple food.
