Clean but slightly cold with all that glass and steel giving it a fairly antiseptic feel. Ales were acceptable at 3.00 a pint, although mostly everyday brands. Not really my kind of place, but it seemed busy enough.

In here prior to Leftfield concert - had a pint of Thwaites Wainright 2.90. It was good and tasted like Wainrights I have had before - this place seems to manage it's ales well for such a busy place - fair play to it. Returned later and had two Cuba Libre which was expertly made with the minimum of coca-cola and maximum Havana Club Rum.

Visited Easter Sunday - beer fest was on! Absolutely excellent range of ales and ciders on offer.
Feels more like a cafe than a pub, but has a fabulous beer menu.

Fashion police?? I work at KRO2 and we have a very relaxed door policy [i.e. jeans, trainers, T shirts are fine!!]. I'm biased cos I work there BUT the place is pretty much spot on. Huge selection of lagers on tap, usually 3-5 bitters and loads of bottles beers. The wine list is regularly refreshed and there's a huge choice of spirits.
Food... the vast majority of dishes are home made and good quality. I eat there a lot when not even working, as do plenty of my mates. The food is far better than most bars, good value and is served til 10pm every night. There is also a very tasty restaurant menu and the new head chef has recently added some delicious new dishes.

Try it out... beers / coffess / cakes / 3 course meals ... you can even sit outside when it's p*ssing down cos of the outside heaters...

Little on the trendy side, and its like a goldfish bowl. Satisfactory range of very well kept beers though. The sort of place that would be acceptable to take young/trendy people to and still manage to find a decent pint. (Dear god, I sound like a middle aged man, and im only a student!)

Good beer, Nice staff, decent mixture of people (if a little over busy sometimes)

Good outdoor seating. I do prefer Kro to Kro 2 though

big glass windows at the front... expensive beers... and hardly a great selection!!! most of the time its full of students anyway but you do get the posers in there which is ok but is annoying most of the time! not sure what the food is like but id probably give it a miss anyway!! overall its ok for a stop off..wouldnt stay in here long ..lastly i will add that if the weather is good then yeah kro2 is usually the place to be?? well where everyone seems to go!

If it's a sunny day and you're feeling flash, sit in here and part with your cash. A great place for people-watching tho the beer is slightly on the pricey side.

Following on from the success of the original Kro Bar, the people behind what is possibly the worst named bar in the northern hemisphere have opened up another one, just next to the BBC on Oxford Rd. It's much bigger than Kro 1, and has an area reserved for diners; the building is glass-fronted, making it look more like a trendy office than a bar. Consequently, it's usually full of fashionable young urban professionals. The beers are the same as Kro 1, which is a good thing, and it's not usually too busy during the week either.
