Closed and looks like it will never be a pub again.

Used this place many times over the years always as a meeting point but I did have quite a few nights here having never been bothered to move on.

Never a great place, but service was good, the prices were okay and the atmosphere was what you made it.

Bombardier used to be the only drinkable ale but sometimes that wasn’t on so you had to revert to lager.

Not that sad to see it go.

only bombardier available on cask but at 2.25pint was quite impressed, service was friendly and nice to look at,comfortable relaxed atmosphere as with most slugs, busy too for a Tues lunchtime,6/10 ok just nothing special

Don't bother meeting here. Find somewhere else to meet. Goddamn awful in every single way. Overpriced, lacklustre service, mostly empty. I have been to more entertaining airport departure lounges.

Sterile atmosphere, crap beer, and expensive. To be used as a meeting point, and then move on somewhere else.

A very bizarre scene got played out, in here, Bromleys Slug & Lettuce, last night. (20 Aug). I handed over a 10 note to pay for my 3.30(!) pint of Heineken, only to then be informed that the bar had run out of change. The matter was of course resolved, but this was a first-time experience for this reviewer and pub-goer. Has this ever happened to you? Boy, I must be bored!

Not my favourite pub in Bromley, but there aren't that many that can be classed as 'good'. Very disappointed with it, but the same goes for all Slugs in SE and Central London. Nothing wrong with the decor or location, but they just seem to have no clue on how to make it an enjoyable experience (like waiting ages to be served!!).

Hmmm, and the purpose of this Slug and Lettuce is exactly? Well, I guess it could be used for a swift one before boarding a train next door. No, in all fairness, I didnt find there to be anything inherently wrong here on my visit yesterday afternoon (Sept 4th), though there is nothing to make it stand out and although I was only in here for the one, I felt a severe case of boredom brewing. There is nothing to look at aside from passing traffic and the atmosphere was completely dead. It was shoppers and the expected commuters for clientele and thats probably the root of the problem. Standard lagers were on offer (Becks Vier, 2.90) and a seemingly decent stock of wines. Actually (and surprisingly) the background music was about the best thing going on my visit. Wont be here again in the near future, but if really, really, really thirsty, I suppose popping in would be okay.

Utterly formulaic, bar-by-numbers. No soul at all and overpriced like all Slugs. Impossible to hold a conversation when crowded due to the bar being one open cavern. As inspiring as watching paint dry and as comfortable as holding onto a full bladder.

Dull Dull Dull. Typical PubCo bar, square uninspiring room, nuked food and a couple of sofas thrown in, presumably to make you think you are in an episode of Friends.

Train and Bus stops are right outside so just about acceptable for a cheeky beer while waiting for next one to somewhere nicer......

Lovely pub, great for a quick pint after work, staff friendly, clean, nice food and next door to Bromley South Station.
Busy on Friday/Saturday evenings.

Great place to go in Bromley on a Saturday or Sunday lunchtime after a busy morning's shopping! Excellent food and extremely efficient and friendly staff.

ok, not bad, but not brilliant. decentish staff, mainly gets busy on a friday night with people leaving work and having a couple

Not very exciting, keeps closing early due to lack of customers. Overpriced, but clean and generally the staff are good. Manager got upset with us because she wanted to close at 9.15pm on a Sunday and we weren't drinking fast enough, which was a shame.

this is teh best bar/restaurant i have been to for a while now. excellent managment and by far the trendiest pub in bromley!

Great pub if you like paying 3.50 for chocolate flavour vodka.

not bad , ideal to get away from the dodgy people hanging about at wetherspoons , I would pay and extra a beer to stay clear of that place
Justin - 28 Nov 2003 15:09
Couple of tasty barmaids there now, seemed to warm to us after several rounds with chocolate vodka chasers. Food is usually fantastic, and its also handy for a 'waiting for the train' swift one.
Pauly H - 1 Sep 2003 12:34
Crap, you need a second mortgage to buy a drink. go across the road to wetherspoons, crap but cheaper

This place has changed over the last few months, NO atmosphere the staff have changed the management need to sort there lifes out and they should all get over themselves avoid like you would every other pub in Bromley!

Smaller than your average slug and lettuce, with helpful friendly staff who always have a smile and the waiting time is surprisingly good even when busy!!! (and the bonus is you dont have to put up with the normal Bromley Boy/Girl types!)
