I am responding to Debbie regading Freda in the White Horse, Kedington. The Siggin family were evacuated to Kedington from London in 1940 and lived in the cottage adjoining the pub. Ed Siggins has written his memoirs which has a section on the time the family spent in the village. He talks about Mr Catlin and his daughter Fred. Ed didn't know it but his GGGfather was a Price and the Price family owned the Kedington Brewery which included the White Horse up until 1881.

My great aunt, Freda, used to manage/own this pub about thirty-forty years ago with her boxer dog Patch. Does anyone remember Freda?

Wondered if there is still the little cottage immediately next to pub. My mother lived there as a child during the war.

The White Horse Kedington, is delightfully situated in a quiet village of Suffolk.
Food is served from a traditional menu, alongside their popular homemade specials board, which offers a range of speciality dishes. The menu is based around fresh local produce. They offer accomadation, which recently has been decorated for a pleasant , comfortable and memorable stay. Great Pub and Resturant,DaniX

A local pub with a single (adults only)bar and separate restaurant with a small garden and play area for the family.

Current owners landlord Scott and landlady Rachel are doing very well with their first pub and have turned it into a friendly local pub that embraces visitors with friendly banter and colouful characters.

Beer is generally well kept and offers Greene King IPA and Morlands plus one guest beer.

Food is excellent value especially the Tuesday Steak Night!

Themed nights and events such as quizes, race nights and Karaoke are often arranged so check the events boards regularly
