Now a Wetherspoons, called The Admiral Sir Lucius Curtis. Visited on a Saturday afternoon and was busy with lots of highly disillusioned Saints fans drowning their sorrows. Ringwood on cask but a disappointing selection of bottles behind the bar. Like the look of the refurb, though.

Good starting pub for a crawl around southampton and good if you live in the surrounding area. Unusual building and a good place to talk before a big night out

One of the signs outside advertises the fact that real ales are available. In reality there are none whatsoever and haven't been for many moons. You know your luck is out when you have to explain to the bar staff what constitutes a real ale. A hint, it's not John Smiths keg.

Not a real pub, just a corporate drinking factory.

I used to drink here when I was in halls over the road. It was quite busy then, but it's dead now. Dirty, dingy and dark, and expensive as well. Avoid.
