It has indeed re-opened. Had three ales on my visit - Wheery, Bombardier and Abbot. Wherry was of reasonably quality although not exceptional. Tends to have music on weekend evenings - covers bands.

This pub has now reopened yet again!
I happened to pass by early this morning and saw that the dreaded Fleurets for sale sign has gone, and instead there's a banner advertising the fact that the pub is now open all day every day and serving food from 12-9 daily with lunch time special offers etc.
Will call in soon to see what's now on offer in the way of real ale.

Popped in after work on a Friday for the first since it re-opened and was impressed at the changes - nothing drastic but it's been redecorated. Same layout but new furniture and paintwork. Three ales on: Ipswich Bright, London Pride and Wherry. Had a Wherry which was in good nick and in a clean glass - something new for this pub! Much improved.

After being closed up with the curtains shut for about a month, it opened again for business yesterday. I only knew because of the black boards outside advertising the fact. It has a new tennant as the previous one was apparently removed. The pub is owned by a Pub Co - Enterprise. The pub seems to have been fully cleaned up and smelling fresh. I went in today to see if any real ale was on. I was surprised to see three hand pumps already in use Wherry, Deuchars and London Pride. I think they will be hard pushed to get through a barrel of each in four days when people do not even know that they are open again. This has potential if they know how to look after the real ale.

This pub has now closed down.

Prior to that beer quality was poor and glasses weren't always clean. As a drinking venue not good but it did have a good duke box and pool.

After a bad experience at Mannings we found this pub close by. Not bad little boozer, decent priced, friendly attractive staff and no signs of trouble like we had at Mannings. Beer was ok too.

could be a lot nicer. lovely old building from the outside however once inside it's a big disappointment. beer doesn't seem to be well looked after but do the good looking barmaids make up for it?

pop in for a visit and you'll see what i mean.

This is one of those pubs with potential. But at the moment it is not that good. No good beer, too many fruit machines and ruined a bit inside. Lovely building from the out side though. 4/10
