Well to be honest i dont know what Neil is on about he couldnt be talking any more rubbish. The Railway Tavern is a lovely pub one of the best great atmosphere great and friendly staff a wonderfull land lady and great beer. So if anyone is going to say anything make sure its true heroin??? come on honestly fights i dont think so. So honestly dont listen to Neil cause honestly he really is chatting rubbish, So if you want a great night fun laughter music friendly customers and staff or a day out with the family i would 150% recomend the railway tavern in Snakes Lane East. And neil get your facts straight.

If tracksuit bottoms and heroin abuse are your cup of tea, then this is the pub for you. Appalling atmosphere, unfriendly and unwelcoming bar staff and filled with people who would rather crack each other over the head with a bottle than drink from it. Every time I have visited this pub, the lager has been either warm or flat and the drinks rather expensive despite its obviously benefit-scamming clientele.

I found the staff in this good sized pub to be friendly enough and my Guinness was fine, although I didnt spot any real ale on.

There are plasma TVs and portable sets dotted around the pub which seems popular for locals to go and watch sports on Sky. There is also a pool table and a dartboard for those that are feeling more athletic!

I would use this pub if I lived locally.

Have been drinking in here on an on/off basis for the last three years, as it's my "very" local. It has improved 100% since the refurbishment and is now one of the better pubs in the area.

My friend, who spends much of his time living in Malaysia, always likes to meet at The Railway, whenver he is back home, despite having five other pubs in a nearer walking area to his flat.

Refurbished in the last year, the transformation is amazing. What was once an unwelcoming keg pub is now an ex-Scottish & Newcastle success story. The food of this local is authentic Thai (they even do take aways). Sells Courage Best.
