This site is now occupied by the rather good The Establishement. Suggestion for new listing already submitted.

Now being refurbished. Closed down early in 2007, re-opened for a couple of months in the summer, now gone again.

Seems to have recently closed down, judging by the metal over all the doors and windows. No sign as to what has happened, but definitely not open right now.

Old friendly man's pub in nice surroundings. Very small but then that's the charm.

Free jukebox, in fact you could probably leave your purse on the table and go to the loo and it will still be there when you come back (or even the shops).

Very often rammed. Not shy of a few fitties in here, but it does end up costing a fair few quid. Drinks are nothing to get excited about and don't expect to have a seat...

Rarely quiet too. Enter when already drunk and with lascivious intentions only.

I love Elvis night at Novello's, its great fun, its normally packed and the atmosphere is always good. If Lou is doing the Elvis slot then it's even better as some of the Elvis's aren't particularly good, but it's still a laugh!

We had a great night at Novello's. Thai food was delicious and a good value. Bar staff friendly and keep up with demands of the crowd. Elvis was superb! If you go to Novello's on Elvis night, be ready to dance, sing & enjoy yourselves- sad, boring people will not like it here!

Good if a bit crowded and a limited range of real ale. Friendly staff and customers, also a Thai restaurant upstairs (almost inevitable these days!). Regular Elvis night with a bar extension until midnight.

Great atmosphere, A throw back to when pubs were pubs. Not a wine bar wannabe like most pubs in the area. Dingy, dark and you can just smell the drunkeness. 3 cover charge the only dissappointment.

Used to be great and was full of diamond geezers and fit barmaids...Not so good these days and sometimes Elvis appears. This is not a good thing

Beer is appalling and always warm and flat. Really

You need to pay 3 to get in to hear the Elvis impersonator (Friday also). In which case at that point it wasn't a pub, so I didn't go in.
