I visited this pub on Saturday 5th Feb as I was attending a brass band competition in the Octagon. I found the staff rather insulting as they thought that me and my friends were in school uniform and therefore would not serve us. If they took the time to read our jackets and ties they would have seen it said BAND quite clearly and lets face it how many school kids would go into a pub in school uniform on a Saturday lunchtime!!! The food was great but staff you really were very sarcastic and insulting. Thankfully we found another top quality pub nearer to the octagon who catered for about 150 brass band players and supporters.

One of the best pubs in town. Occasional good band like Splinter from Weymouth. Its very close to other good places like Weatherspoons and Woods Wine bar (if you like to crawl!).

i go to this pub nearly every weekend to see the bands and enjoy the atmosphere.. i like the pub and its staff. we go out drinking together sometimes and this helps me to feel welcome when i go in. i would say that this is the best pub in Yeovil
