Was not particularly impressed with this place. Two handpulls were sitting unclipped at the end of the bar, with no real ale or cider. Whilst the bottle selection was slightly more adventurous, this is more of an club-type place and is fairly dark inside. The opening times reflect this, with it only being open during evenings during the week and from 2pm on a Saturday. Poor.

Bar Centro was once one of the Northern Quarter's premier bars but it seems to have been usurped somewhat in recent years particularly by Thomas Street's imbibing emporia.

Some of the worst service I have ever experienced, not recommended.

I do like this bar, but it's always difficult to find a seat upstairs and getting too and from the bar is a pain.
Nice friendly service & interesting decor

OK bar and location. However the bouncer is a nasty piece of work. Leering at women, chatting up girls at the bar rather than working the door. Shouting at people in an aggressive and sarcastic way to finish their drinks bang on closing time. Here is a tip for this bar: stop serving drinks 10 minutes earlier if you want a clean break at closing time rather than get a thug to force drink down your customer's necks. Unpleasant.

A very stylish atmosphere and feel to this place. It has a very impressive range of european beers as well some real ales (though i havent actually tried the real ale yet here - just been gorging myself on the bottled continental stuff). The staff are generally very friendly as well.Nice place!

Great bar. In the afternoon the music is "there" without being too much. I bet this is a great place to go at night. Plus the barman gave us a free diet coke when we accidentally wobbled the table and spilt ours.

The "cafe culture" in Manchester is unique -- they have mastered the art of combining good tradional
beer with a hip ambience. This is prime example.
