please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Big barn of a place with incomprehensible staircases leading all over the place and no real ale. Can't comment on the food.

I love the Waxy's pubs! Been to the one in London quite a lot and visited this one in Glasgow recently. As ever, AMAZING surroundings! Plus the staff were really chatty and our food was lovely. We had the stew and a burger (which was massive!). They have loads of different areas which were all booked out that night. Will definitely be back next time im in Glasgow!!xx

Faux Irish but a nice bolt hole when waiting for a train. Staff are a VERY friendly bunch. I have popped in here many times and every time it has been a pleasant experience.

I went here for a birthday party & we had a great time - my friend hired an entire bar for her birthday and there was no hire charge, no minimum spend!!!
She booked a buffet (which she didnt have to) and the food was great, the staff were great and the bouncers friendly!!! - finding the toilets was a bit tricky but if you use the HUGE tree planted in the middle of the pub as your guide you'll be fine!!!
went back on the Sunday night and they had a live irish band on - the weekend was great and i would reccomend this pub in glasgow to anyone!!!

worked here as part of the opening team back inmay 1999. had a fantastic time. took me ages to find my way around, but that adds to a good night out. my friends have gone in there recently and were nicely surpised.

Waxy O'connors is by far the best pub in the city centre, the drink and food are super, and the bouncers are even better, especially the ones that worked there two years ago ( use know who you are! )love michelle xxx

An unusual pub, full of 'nooks and crannies'. Friendly bouncers and efficient bar-staff. Certainly a place worth trying. Just don't try to get in with a 'See you jimmy' hat on like we did!
