user reviews of the Warren, Hounslow

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I used to take the familly here in the afternoon during the summer months in the 90's. It had a nice vibe at that time of the day. Also used to go there to watch Big football games. Another pub I am afraid that is a victim of the smoking ban and high priced beer. Such a bloody shame that these places close and are lost forever.

As per my post of the 6/05/11..another Tesco is on its way.
Let's boycott Tesco...use Asda they never take over pubs (do they?)

Went past the Warren on the way back from football with my teenage son on a Sunday lunchtime a couple of weeks ago and could see only three customers, so we didn't go in!

Current landlord is Chris. Two pool tables and no food. Very quiet and needs doing up and some positive advertising. What it most needs though are more customers. Otherwise I suspect the owners will try to close the only pub in the area with a garden and no doubt see if they can sell it for 'development'.

I popped in here on Friday afternoon and there was one other punter drinking at the bar. I didnt spot any Real Ales and there was only a limited range of bog standard lagers. There are two separate drinking rooms on either side of the pub with one side have 2 pool tables and the other having a pool table and a dart board. The pub also has Sky Sports which is shown on plasma screens.

There is a big beer garden with childrens play area and although the pub is on a very busy crossroads the beer garden is away from the road and fenced off so Id imagine the planes going overhead would be noisier than the cars on the road.

This pub would be OK for watching the match or going for a game of pool with the lads, but I wouldnt go with the family or the misses.

This is the nearest pub to where I live and went there a few months back with three mates on a Friday night...
There was a disco advertised for later in the evening but the place was dead and, as we were the only ones in there, we decided to play pool. Half-way through our game, the table lights went out and the jumped up little prick behind the bar refused to turn them back on until we finished our game as, 'the disco starts at eight'. Fair enough but we were still the ONLY ones in there and he could have told us that before giving us change for the game!
I wouldn't go back in there if I was dying for a piss.

Used to be a regular here, and watched the place go downhill. Still pop in when I can, and it's really improving. Just spent the evening here with the Mrs, the pub is getting better, slowly but surely and the food was absolutely fantastic. My advice is, if you came here a few years ago and didn't like the place, come back and give it one more try, it's nothing special, but you never know, you might just end up having a good night.

The pub has just had a little re-jig, with the old lounge bar becoming a sports themed bar boasting 3 pool tables, 3 screens including a large plasma screen (with sky and setanta sports) and an mp3 juke box. There is also a large garden including a childrens play area, a covered, seated smoking area.

The Warren is definately the best of a bad bunch of pubs in the area.

the food is pretty good & varied, the beer is better than most.

plus there isn't hundreds of chavy kids running about the place!!!

this pub is now my local, even though its abit of a trot to get to, its worth it.
7/10 rating

A good pub for a few games of pool with the lads, and somewhere nice to have a bit of grub, lovely garden out the back with a kids area, the Landlady is quite a sexy minx if I do say so

Large pub, not bad but a bit out of the way. Hardly pumping with atmosphere on a saturday night but a decent place for a couple of cheeky halves on a monday evening
