Went here for a late Sunday lunch. Very convivial and roast was superb. Service was excellent and a fine range of ales. The staff were all amazingly friendly and a great atmosphere. Beers on tap included Camden Pale Ale and Gypsy Hill in bottles

Great to begin with, but went downhill when the barmaid's "boyfriend" threatened to put a meteal pole through my head (completely unprovoked) before calling some Indian passers'-by "terrorists", and other anti-social and & racist behaviour. Never was there any cause for this behaviour, except his personal defects?

Despite a lovely meal and great table service, I won't be returning for fear of running into that idiot again. We spent over 400, so I guess they can afford to lose that business?

Spoilt an otherwise pleasant evening.

Went to this place and bought a curry. Unfortunately it was disgusting, tasted like curry powder mixed with water!!! My brother even found his egg and bacon was hard to eat (cardboard hard). My sister in law bought a steak and Ale pie and couldn't eat this heated up tripe because it was like a board. When she asked for a refund because clearly their meals were inadequate she was refused one . Eat here and waste your money!! Place itself looked nice...shame!

If you like gastro pubs you should give this place a try as it is definitely one of the better ones. On my visit, the Doombar was very good and Adnams was also available along with XXXB and some premium lagers. There are a couple of plasma screens, but I didnt see any sport advertised.

The barman was polite enough and I would return with no fuss.

Very busy on an early Sunday evening, with a good atmosphere of mostly young (and wealthy-looking) customers. In fact, it appeared quite difficult for those wishing to eat to find a flat spot anywhere to put a plate down. Only other problem, trying to convince the visitors to our shores behind the bar that the word 'Pint' printed on a glass wasn't the point to which the receptacle needed to be filled, and that if it didn't have a line then it should be filled to the top. Doh!

What can I say? A fantastic boozer with a great food offering. The staff are a delight, as is the Manager. Knowledgeable, friendly and efficient - we'll definitely be back for more!

I live around the corner from this pub and hadnt been in for ages, mixed clientele but very South Ken! Food was excellent and was served by chatty, friendly and helpful staff. This is definately going to become my local!

Usually when I visit London, I try to eat and drink in a different pub every night. Unfortunately for that plan, the Duke of Clarence was so fantastic a place I just kept going back (7 times in two weeks). The food was the best I've eaten in a UK pub. The ales were beautifully kept--I particularly liked the Sharps and the British Bulldog. The staff was incredibly friendly, as were the locals. I woke up with a pounding headache one morning because the night before some local lads were celebrating something or other, and they bought round after round after round, and of course I felt compelled to drink and drink and drink. I unhesitatingly rate this pub a solid 10!

Great place to sit and relax with a refreshing pint in hand! The staff is magnificent, and with the new decoration, the atmosphere is wonderful!

Big barn of a place with a big wraparound bar. Mondays is quiz night and a good popular one too with Aussie bloke calling the questions. Good atmosphere.
