Classic looking town centre pub. Did smell a bit like the drains had a problem when I made my visit - first time I've been here so not sure if there's a temporary problem?

Décor is very much a nod in the direction of their reputation as a live music pub with promotional gig posters plastered all over the walls and ceiling. A few guitars are mounted on the wall for good measure!

I got in there shortly before 11am on a Saturday and was pleased to see it was fairly busy with a mix of coffee drinking shoppers and a few people drinking beer.

Typical Fullers range of ales, London Pride, HSB, Front Row and an Adnams offering, an IPA which I assumed was a guest. I settled for the IPA; quite pricey at £1.95 a half but fairly typical for a town centre pub.

Very nice pint. I noticed on the way in the pub has Cask Marque status. This was more than reflected in the ale I was enjoying.

Looks like it could be a lively venue of an evening with their support of live music. One of Farnhams better hostelries.

This pub is the best in Farnham now. The excellent young management have blended all ages and all types. There are locals and students. Beer is superb and the food spot on. This was Fullers pub of the year for 2013 and given the extremely high standards their pubs set that is a fantastic achievement.

thanks Queens Head. I've reached the tipping point where i will no longer imbibe my favourite beverages in pubs. I ordered a pint of HSB and a glass of Rose wine and was astounded to be charged ten pounds and twenty pence! You publicans are killing your own golden goose. I am never paying those prices again, from now on its either Weatherspoons in Guildford or Woking or the Offie. goodbye!

Not bad, only one beer on but friendly enough barman. Pool table at the back.

Always worth a visit for a pint or two on the way round the town. When empty it shows the need for a decent cleaner, but the beer is good, the service polite and there seems to be a remarkable lack of fisticuffs, suggesting it's a safe choice. Will be going back here to rent more beer. Gorgeous but tiny beer garden is well worth a visit.

I've been in a few times since my last review. In recent months there has been a strong smell of bleach as you walk in but the staff seem to deny there is a problem. I guess you would probably get used to the smell after a while! Good selection of ale and the food looks reasonable but it still doesn't hit the mark for me. Usually nowhere to sit as large tables are usually taken up by one or two people and the smell just puts me off my beer!

Hugely improved pub being run by people who know how to create an atmosphere, keep beer and produce good food! I like the music posters all the walls and the fact that it's being run as a pub not a restaurant!

Great pub in central Farnham, lovely decor, friendly staff and beer always good - 4 beers on hand pumps, is a Fullers pub but usually has 2 guest ales. Great live music night on a Sunday and their steak night on a Wednesday is always excellent. Highly recommended.

Lovely young couple making a real go of this place. Gets real busy on Saturdays - food is good and beer excellent. Staff are very cheerful

When this pub was taken over by Fullers I was expecting great things. The decor improved, the clientele improved (generally) and the beer improved(although the Pride has been looking off a few times which is rare for a Fullers pub) but there is still something lacking. It just doesn't have the feel of a proper pub. Maybe the tables are too big or the fact that it's in the centre of town make it less personal. I want to like this place but given the choice The Hop Blossom wins hands down. Worth 6/10 for effort though.

Decent pub, never eaten here but the beer is generally ok. Seems to be trying live music on Sundays lately, the open mic I went to was really good, lively with a good mix of performers (wasnt sure about the 23minute prog rock epic though!) Keep finding myself in here more and more often.

Pleasant but not desperately exciting Fuller's pub. Pride and Discovery on tap when I visited, along with HSB (no doubt stemming from the pub's status as a former Gales house) and, interestingly, Butcombe's as a guest (quite rare to find Fuller's pubs serving guests in my experience). Atmosphere was a bit dead on the admittedly horribly rainy Saturday night I was in there. I enjoyed hearing a run of tracks from Nirvana's 'Nevermind' playing on the pub's system.

If you are very, very, unlucky you can meet some nasty people in here. But generally a good boozer with "characters" (but not intimidating) still selling HSB despite now belonging to Fullers

I last visited the Queens Head in 1994 - it was one of my favourite places! Its a little too far for me now that I am back home in Australia, but the memories are some of my favourites. If my dear friends Will and Doug are still at the bar, ask them to find me! Enjoy a pint for me!!

Decent pub that has suffered some..ermm..not very good landlords in the recent past. Beer quality has improved greatly in recent months and it's a nice place to visit again.

Tragedy that Gales have sold their soul to Fullers. They at least should respect the basic integrity of the pub and not knock it around. Shame the beers will no doubt change!

One of the last decent pubs left in Farnham. Cosy and friendly, hope it stays that way.

The first call on our "crawl" of Farnham. A traditional "proper" pub this. Good atmosphere, friendly lad behind the bar - a pleasant hour spent talking rubbish and drinking what became the best pint of the day. Gales beer in excellent condition - a pleasure.

nice quiet pub with a good atmosphere and decent beer perfect for meeting friends or escaping from borelli's.

Lovely pub, really friendly and great for a quite drink or if you want to have a place to meet up with a few friends. The ale is apparantly really nice.
