Now a Wetherspoons called the London & County - see separate entry.

Dropped in there earlier this year and found it a very pleasant place indeed. Several good beers and friendly staff...bit pricey but friendly enough for all that.

Now opened as Slug & Lettuce. At last a decent pub for Eastbourne. Gone are the giant TV screens and the loud, chavs with them. Good food selcetion and very clean. Now admits children which can be a bit of a pain but real improvement overall.

This pub has closed down now. It is going to become The Slug and Lettuce instead.

Not a bad place to pop into when you're waiting for a train.

When will they learn to turn down the music upstairs. Can be torture listening to two different tracks, staff must already be deaf.

A nice enough pub, quite 'trendy' looking from the outside but you do get a mix of people in. Gets surprisingly empty sometimes, which means you can get to the bar! I've only had the food once, a couple of months ago at my work Xmas do, it was quite nice for the budget and they provided a very interesting goody bag as well. Nice and open in layout, another good starting point for a crawl, especially if you've just jumped off the train.

Seems to be about the only chain pub in Eastbourne

Good place to meet up, just opposite the train station and alongside all of the bus stops. Nicely kitted out with a wide ranging croud.
