Just been for a 'business lunch'. Service efficient. Drinks arrived 2 minutes after order. Draught Aspalls spot on. Simple lunch good in taste, cooked to my liking. A little on the small side so expensive for the amount.

In an ABO you should expect a standard as they are a chain; this establishment was good. Clean, efficient but nothing out of the ordinary. Staff not rude on this visit and we were waited on by two people.

6 out of 10 for this visit. I would go again however there are many better pubs in the area.

worst pub i have ever had the misfortune to go in. Rude staff who sneer at you when you ask for your order to be taken. Crap food and the orders were all wrong when they arrived. All Bar one hang your head in shame. avoid like the plague until they address the rude staff that work there. Message to the staff Find other jobs and stop inflicting your unhappiness on the customers.

Stinks to high heaven now that the smoke isn't allowed to disguise stale beer.

Even by All Bar 1 standards this is a lifeless tip.

Why, nowadays, do staff in these wine type Pubs have more and more to try to be clones of the posers who think its cool to be rude? I can never understand why people who know working in a Pub means dealing with people...yet they dont like dealing with people.

I was handed my change as the person looked away from me. Rude, not nice.....and I didnt even stay to see if the place was nice because poor service ruoins everything.

Now I've never been a fan of ABO's. It's like drinking in a big old fashioned Victorian schoolroom. But they've just done this one up and I reckon it's worth a visit. Beers on tap are Pride and Bass. Or if you fancy a lager then you'll be hard pushed to find such a diverse draught selection as Amstel, Staropramen, Erdinger, Leffe or Carling Black Label. I was on the Amstel, a beer that takes you from the City right into the heart of The Dam. The staff go out of their way to be helpful and the layout of the pub now is much more conducive to a good lunch/evening. Plenty of good food on offer and the (red) wine is well chosen. Give it a go. You might surprise yourself and actually like it.
