Now renamed The Wisborough and - from what I've seen on TripAdvisor - a very expensive and not particularly wonderful gastropub. The former landlord & landlady now run the Half Moon at Kirdford, which is reportedly much transformed (for the better). I haven't visited either pub yet, hence no rating.

Fond memories of visiting here for the bar billiards (none now, sadly).

A friendly, sincere welcome; they found a water bowl for the dog. The Tanglefoot and Harvey's Sussex Bitter were both excellent. My sandwich - prawns and smoked salmon mayonnaise on granary bread - was one of the best I have ever eaten: generously filled and perfectly delicious. We will most certainly be back.

For the price you can't touch this pub for food, Dillon conjures up little moments of magic! Good beer, good atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

This is an excellent pub, we were camping with family and friends in their own campsite - which based in fields around the pub, so only a few hundred yards at most to stagger back to tent! camping very basic but has all you need- Live music on Friday night's, they had a brilliant band called the Hanging Tree Band which were fantastic. HB extra cold on tap and an excellent landlord, who even after fishing my dog out of his duckpond was still friendly. Fishers Farm tourist attraction next door so even manged to sneak back to watch a bit of the the Open golf championship on the TV in the pub with the landlord whilst kids and wife enjoyed themselves next door.

I hope they still do music down there. Had a few good nights down at this place and hope to return, maybe for an open mic night!

A lovely country pub with great beer and guest ales. A very nice menu with daily specials. The beer garden is a real treat and it has a separate children's play area so you can enjoy a drink whilst the nippers are doing their own thing.
Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area.
NB. Old school pub opening hours in the week. A camp site for tents etc. next door.
