Sadly closed by cains last year. This pub was allowed to go downhill by reducing the beer range and quality to a point where they could justify closing it.

Used to go in quite often, but not anymore,as the ale quality has fell to almost undrinkable. On my last 3 visits Ive had to return my pints as they were badly kept.
And as the last reviews state, deadlegs frequent the place without control

This place is a joke! Unlees your licking the landlady arse, your not liked! The place its self is like entering a cave it dark, and it really does smell badly! Lots of drug use in here, seen as normal and acceptable by the mangment and the bar staff, not reccomended go to the mop!

Not too impressed by this pub. Didn't feel very welcome. Not a big fan of Cains beer.
Dominated by TV screens showing darts at the tim I was there.
Interesting building though; pub has a lot of potential.

The Caines beers make this by far the best pub in Gatley for 'drinking'. They usually have 3 different Caines bitters on as well as the Mild.

The pub itself is quite friendly, although most of the 'posh'locals tend to avoid it, due to how it looks.

Not very busy but good for a pint of Fax beer!

Pub quiz on wednesday night, but the in-house DJ plays the music so loud you can't hear yourself think. The place is too small for such loud music.

Getting back to its old self,Caines Mild reintroduced its worth a visit for a pint or two of this nectar

Cains pub. Quite an odd pub, small but with a very tall ceiling which can make you feel a bit uncomfortable unless your 'pie eye'd'. A good brew and average price, nothing to shout home about but worth a 'taste' if your down this neck of the woods
