Sadly the management has changed again.

Only visit if you want to listen to an opinionated young lady tell you all about how she ran "events" for Jamie Oliver.

Hmm, doing that and then moving here? Odd career move!

There were two or three people in when we visited.

There are better pubs not too far away.

The Little John Inn.....A fantastic pub in a beautiful location, spoilt only by....bad management. Fortunately this gem of a pub will shortly be taken over by the current Landlord and Landlady of The Sherwood Ranger, also in Ravenshead. This is the "Rangers" loss and the "Johns" gain. This couple have transformed The Ranger over the last year into one of the best pubs in the area. Now they will work their magic on The Little John. I wish them all the very best, they have a lot of work ahead undoing the bad reputation the pub has gained due to the last tennants mismanagement. I know they will be successful and make it the Goldmine it used to be. Cheers.

Shame that goodygumdrops didn't answer any of the points raised!

This 'lovely' local now has the chance to be managed by someone who knows what they're doing. It can't be worse than the last greedy grabbing tenant. Nothing to do with the goverment or anyone else. Where did the pub quiz money go by the way? I bet I know.

sadly it is now closed, and up for rent,a sign of the times, drink driving laws and a greedy grasping government have driven our lovely local out of business, ignor all adverse comments from the other morons

This must be one of the worst pubs in Notts at the moment.
They've put a pool table in the main lounge as well as the tap room.
There is no real ale. All 3 pumps have their signs turned round. It's been like this for 3 weeks now.
There is no main heating on. The few customers that go in have to leave their coats on on a cold evening.
Shortage of glasses. The staff give you whisky & mixtures in 1/2 pint glasses.
The credit card machine has a "temporary" fault. This has been like it for over 6 months now - so cash only for your meal!
The slowest service I've ever seen. If you order 4 pints of beer, the girl does it one at a time. Obviously the training at fault. Average time to get served must be over 5 minutes. More if they're over 2 at the bar.
It's dead most nights of the week - surprise, surprise!
Time for someone who knows what they're doing to take it over. This used to be a great pub.

A brilliant pub with excellent staff! The people who run the little john inn work long hard hours and the undesirables you mention are what keeps the pub afloat! You'll find this is the busiest pub on new years eve and xmas eve (with the best atmosphere!) The 'undesirables' you refer to all live in Ravenshead and are just people who want to relax and enjoy a nice evening after a hard days work. The food is delivered to a high standard and is not microwaved like other local public houses which serve food. So give the little john a try! The 'undesirables' are infact a friendly bunch who will make you feel more than welcome!

This has got to be the worst pub I have been in lately - no customers at any time of day in the best side and the tap room is full of undesirables; shame really as it used to be a good little pub

This pub has lost it - it looks old and tired. The service is not great (18 year olds behind the bar - more interested in the opposite sex than serving customers) and the food is not as good as it used to be.

There also seems to be a distinct lack of customers!

Its also starting to attract the wrong sort of client.

Good atmosphere, friendly staff and locals. Beer is as good as Mansfield gets !!! Nick, Mike, Si, Matt, Aidy and the stud GAV all wholly recommend this boozer....
