Still a 2 bar pub with a TV and dartboard in one side and dining facilities in the other.
Excellent carvery for Sunday lunch.

A pub of two halves, not so much old style lounge and bar but drinkers and diners. Went in the wrong half and didn't really feel at home. It's a McMullens house and I have recently been surpised by a few of their offerings but this one was true to type and their 'Cask' wasn't a partiucalarly palatable pint. Nice village shame about the pubs.

A good very friendly pub, mainly visit early evening to grab some food with the kids.

The beers are good but in my opinion the ale selection is limited which is a McMullen feature. 3 Real ales but more often than not they are in the 3-3.8% alcohol range and I would like to have an option on something stronger personally. (IPA has recently appeared which is good and tick that box but is only a McMullen seasonal I think).

Food is good, part of their 2-4-1 range so excellent value for money.

Staff very friendly and helpful, the bars are split so TVs in the bar area and the other bar is mainly food and people chilling out and talking.

The customers are decent and the you have the full age range, this pub is now becoming my local choice.

This was my local. Nothing bitter in 'crossing the river' other than getting away from that McMullens taste in beer, decor, staff and customers.

This is a Ronseal pub - it does exactly what it says on the label (nothing more).

This is my nearest decent pub. It fact it is more than decent it's great. Well kept beer and decent 'value for money' food. Favourite local!

This is the best pub in the area. Good beer, good food and friendly staff with none of the modern gastro pub nonense. I first visited over 30 years ago (regulary then) and have popped in whenever in the area since. The barman who first served me all those years ago retired last year (he came and went a number of times). Some things, like this pub, stay the same fortuneately.

Probably my local favourite - the location more than anything. Wedges and beef chilli is a winner for less than three quid!

A good, friendly local. Too quiet at times though. McMullen's Cask Ale is particularly good. A quality McMullen ale at last.

Traditional village local. Two distinct bars with different characters. Decent food, including take away fish & chips at the weekend. MacMullens beer plus a guest plus Foster & new Heineken.

Nice clean pub (including the toilets), very friendly staff, the food is very good and the Stella is always top notch. Gets fairly busy Sunday lunchtimes (they do an excellent carvery) but can usually get a table.

Nice pub. Decent food and reasonable McMullen ales. This pub has been doing live jazz on Thursdays for years.
