It's a fairly typical Norfolk roadhouse, in terms of layout, beer range and customers, so friendly enough. Comfortable seating so a good place to read over a pint, although the Woodfordes seasonal beer was only Ok.

A former GBG regular this pub is more of a 'proper' pub than the villages other establishment (the Queens head), its a bit tatty round the edges but the food and beer is good. Could do with a tidy up, lets face it, with window box's full of weeds it can be a bit off putting.

Ok, so the letters went in the wrong way round! Lixdeksik keyboard.

UAE is no place for a cenosillicaphobic like me, however UEA might be a better loaction for our son.

As your user name says...................

Hello Dave,
So, as I understand it, you were en route to The United Arab Emirates, got lost, and stumbled across The Kings Head, Hethersett.
Remarkably bad (good ?) luck my friend !

Found the pub by getting lost on way to UAE & went back that evening - smashing service, got their last unreserved table.

Food brilliant, and lots of it, with lots of locals - a proper pub.

Can't wait to find excuse to visit in the day.

New people behind the bar are friendly and the pub has a really nice atmophere. The Adams is as good as you'll ever experience. Nice garden in pretty setting.

Went to this pub a couple of years ago and had a very nice pint in the snug. Was hoping to repeat that this year. When I went in the snug however the bar staff did not seem to want to be bothered. They knew I was there but did not come round from the main bar, and continued their converstaion with friends. I left without service, a pity as this is a very atmospheric pub.

What a lovely pub, warm and welcoming with a fantastic open fire and friendly landlords. Also has a nice garden and the toilets are clean and well-kept. I like this place a lot - it seems to have a decent mix of regulars and diners when so many places nowadays can't get the balance right.
