Chindit, Wolverhamptonback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
After a Sunday morning visit to the Stile (not listed on here, but a very characterful Marstons pub in Wolverhampton's backstreets), we headed to the Chindit for opening. We had a longer than expected wait outside as the barman struggled to locate the keys to open up. The Chindit looks none too promising from the outside. But the 2 rooms inside are fairly comfortable, with a pool table dominating the bar. The locals were friendly and we engaged in pleasant conversation with them. 4 beers were on including Hopback Summer Lightning & Brough's Pale Ale. A handy pub to visit if you're ever heading to the football at Molyneux. It's within walking distance, but far enough away to ensure a quiet pint.

A small local pub conveniently located on the main road, just a few hundred yards from Chapel Ash. Buses are frequent and it's about a 20 minute walk from the city centre. Found out about this pub when I visited their website as it was recommended by a friend of mine to view what it had got to offer. went there last October with a couple of mates who live in Wolverhampton, the staff were polite and friendly. The atmopshere is more a genuine local, frequented by regulars who live within walking distance of the pub. Fairly low key but the drinks are brilliant, found the cobs nice, liked them - the downside to the place is the prices of a pint are steep, but enjoyed the guest beers on tap. maybe will visit the pub again, but I don't live in Wolverhampton, so visits are seldom made. the decor was a bit dated, tired-looking, but that's what makes pubs unique, with a charm and character of its own. Worth popping into if just passing by or visiting, if a little pricey, the drinks are and staff are polite.

Inspired by the ROBCamra roadshow i made a return to the Chindit, especially as i am more open now to drinks other than MILD.
The exterior of this late 1940s pub can be seen in the picture and ROB has given a description of the interior. The music played was of a decent level. The service, again, was functional and the small clientele was more mature, but it is a locals place.
Beer; well tap tosh, still without MILD. The four handpulls served up two Titanics, Iceberg and White Star, along with a decnet Hereford Pale Ale and the superb Enville Ale.
The pub has grown on me a little more, the beer is very good, however, i still feel like i am tolerated rather than welcomed, but score has increased and it will appear on our 'to visit list' a little more often

L shaped pub split into two rooms. The front room has a pool table and Beatles posters on the walls. The rear room has a load of framed beer adverts along with a fantastic Wychwood Brewery mirror with the usual picture of the dog on it, the slogan underneath is �The Dogs Bollocks � brewed exclusively for sad bastards�. They also have live music on Fridays. Eight handpumps on the bar doubling up in each room selling Enville Ale, Wye Valley HPA and two from Ironbridge, Gold and Golden Gate. Got talking to the friendly landlord/barman about Ironbridge beers as the two I had here were better kept than any I�ve ever drunk in Ironbridge itself. It�s a fine little pub and well worth the walk from the city centre.

A great little real ale pub, that does a good pint and has regular live music and beer festivals.

Wanted to visit this place due to the name - the soldiers of the Burma campaign in WII. Very quiet when i visited, but not overly friendly i felt - but it was my one and only visit, as of course, like the others say, there is no Mild i wont be going back. Has a pool table and TV.

No mild in here but a couple of unusual bitters which are decent enough.Been twice on Saturday afternoons and it was empty both times.Dr's verdict - alright for a game of pool.

I called in on a crawl of Wolverhampton and enjoyed my Enville at this community pub. Pool table in one room, and a cosy feel to the other room.

The beer is kept well (except on mondays - when the 'cellar manager' is away), usually three real beers on hand pull. Warning: I was in there with 5 friends (ages between 18 - 76) last friday. We got thrown out ("get out now") for no reason that I could discover. I'll now avoid this pub.

Visited this box-like pub a couple of years ago, they had no MILD so did not return until the recent beer festival. Out of 30 odd beers there's sure to be a MILD or PORTER but no this pub does not cater for the MILD drinker. I will not be putting myself out again. No MILD walk out.
